It has been widely reported that the facilities had been upgraded since he complained and that those upgrades are still ongoing.

Shouldn't have needed him to highlight it though is my point it's something that should really have been top of the priority list

Everyone trashing our facilities have presumably been there and inspected them and then compared it with others.

Its become a bit of a bandwagon now. People blurt it out when they can't possibly have a clue.

Gary Neville started it I think. Although I'd question when was the last time he was at Carrington or any PL training ground.

Fecking hate Rio and Keane backing Ronaldo. Bunch of sycophantic yes men.

Rooney is the only one among his former team mates to actually speak some sense. He's a good lad rest can feck right off.

Yeah guarantee he will back his old mate,be interesting to see whether Howson has the guts to disagree with him

So I have read the Guardian article and seen the 2 minute Piers Morgan thing - he is not the first and won't be the last player to have issues with management. If they can't work it out then a soon to be 38 year old leaving the club is no big deal. We move...

Will always be a legend for me when he decided to come back to this trainwreck situation and scored 100+ goals for the club.

Tbh after cooling down a bit I can see Ronaldo and Rio's point.

Contrasting how PSG handled Messi's situation even when he was in poor form last season, vs our handling of Ronaldo despite him being one of our better players last season, I can see why CR7 decided to go nuclear. It'll be interesting to see if he's actually finished or if it's just a Messi-esque temporary drop in form.

I predict some frothing at the mouth so I have to caveat that I obviously don't support him going nuclear, and he has to leave asap.

feck me, Ronaldo’s been an absolute tosser but does even this have to turn into a Messi/Ronaldo debate, the tediousness of it all:wenger:
Yes entire world already knew who the better footballer is, and now we all know who is a professional and who is a circus act.

Roy Keane still thinks of Ronaldo as the teenager he met back in 2003.

I'm guessing they've barely had any contact since then and Roy hasn't considered that Ronaldo might have changed a fair bit. As can happen with huge fame.

Have you watched Rio’s new video on he’s channel? Carragher is on their too. Rio does say he’s wrong for the interview but still plenty of defending Ronaldo going on too.

It's not form. It's his age. Messi is a more technically gifted player so can offer more in terms of playmaking, he's also 2 years younger...

Ronaldo is finished at the top level - this is why he's thrown his toys out of the pram - he can't accept it.

feck me, he missed all of pre-season, fecked off at HT, yet has still started a tonne of games and been utter shite. He then fecked off before the final whistle yet was skipper last week in his 4th start on the bounce, with zero goals and zero threat.

PsG are the most superior team in League 1 by far, they can afford to play out of form players and still win the league. Why the feck should Ten Hag sabotage his side’s season for an out of form player who keeps undermining him?

Can you elaborate? What exactly have we done to mis handle Ronaldo? He's played an awful lot of football and done very little.

So Ronaldo was justified in storming out of the stadium in a hissy fit for example because "handling"?

Not treating him like a global superstar essentially. That combined with the media scrutiny he's endured (Ronaldo is the problem etc) plus us not being in the CL, it's just a recipe for disaster. I can see the side of Ronaldo wanting out asap by any means.

You’re going to have to explain how? How did the club treat him poorly versus Messi at PSG, he literally didn’t get a single offer for his services. United would have 100% sold him, they just wanted a fee as was evident from Martial being 1st choice immediately.

This is the football equivalent of the company wide "feck you" email after you've been told you're terminated.

He did this for the sole purpose of trying to make himself look like the good guy and United the bad guy. But's he's so out of touch and egotistical he didn't realize it would do the opposite. He's completely ignored that it was him, after we shelled out crazy wages, that wanted to leave in the summer because we didnt get in the UCL. We even looked past it but now he's saying he was "forced out"? what utter garbage. Then having a go at everyone from the chef to Rooney. Pathetic.

I thought Messi was finished this time last year, I'm still surprised by his comeback. I still wouldn't rule either of the two freaks out, although a Ronaldo comeback seems a lot less likely at this stage.

If he doesn’t play like one why should he be treated like one?

Not treating him like a global superstar essentially.

I’d say that’s exactly how he’s been treated. Any other player missing all of pre-season, fecking out at HT during a friendly, throwing hissy fits & refusing to come on as sub and all the while playing utter shite wouldn’t have been making squads.

Ronaldo has been given tonnes of unjustified starts and since the prick refused to come on, started 4 games and one as fecking skipper!!!

None of the stuff he's done is justifiable, but a player of his profile will think he should be able to get away with it and be accommodated. Akin to Mbappe stopping his run when he wasn't passed the ball. Hugely unprofessional, but that's what you get with that profile of player. Essentially what Rio was saying in the podcast.

I am not sure that legally he did something wrong. Especially something based on which we can sack him

I feel like going public to embarrass and ridicule the club and staff constitutes some kind of unacceptable behaviour.

Who says they don’t?

The interview hasn’t even been fully disclosed yet. Only an idiot would act without waiting for full disclosure.

I wasn't insinuating we didn't. I was just responding to the poster.

how can they be sycophants? they don't work for him or are his yes men... they are allowed their viewpoints just as those attacking ronaldo are and I guess they know him better than anyone on here does

Why would you want to put this toxic prick in with the reserves who are still young and learning?
How good for the ego would it be for the young kids ripping the pish out of Ronaldo daily in training.

"Mum, I nutmegged Ronaldo another twice in training today"
" Don't get carried away Johnny, remember he is shit now"

If it's true that he publicly called out on how Rooney looks (and I believe nothing these days online) then my last iota of praise for him has gone.

Whilst yes Rooney has been my favourite player in recent years, attacking someone for not looking as good is just unacceptable. End of.
As someone who is much less attractive myself, it's a typical thing where your achievements are overlooked by how you look and it's ridiculous.

If true Ronaldo has burnt his last bridge with me and for all I care he could've joined City or Liverpool.
