Decent wax figure to be fair. Looks exactly like him
Wasn't great giving that interview the other night.Decent wax figure to be fair. Looks exactly like him
No it wasn't, I know that though, so do most on hereWasn't great giving that interview the other night.
Have to ask why the club thought it was a good idea to bring in a 36 year old who's career was only going one way? This is on the club, they are even more to blame than Ronaldo in my opinion.
We didn’t want one of the best players in history? A player who scores goals like no one else. We needed that. We all wanted him to come home. Hindsight is 20/20. None of us saw this coming. He’s never bitched and moaned like this before. Usually just shuts up and gets on with it. Now he’s leaving in a worse state by his own making. Feck him.Have to ask why the club thought it was a good idea to bring in a 36 year old who's career was only going one way? You do know I am talking about the waxwork? No it wasn't, I know that though, so do most on here
Yes. Because he was acting up at Juve for the last year, it was no secret he is an asshole. The club made this very avoidable problem all for marketing reasons over football ones.More to blame then the person being unprofessional? Are 36 years old players expected to not act professionally?

Until the bolded literally all of this is wrong. We didn’t want one of the best players in history? A player who scores goals like no one else. We needed that. We all wanted him to come home. That's not true, I didn't want him and many didn't. But it has no bearing on whether the club is responsible for Ronaldo acting unprofessionally.

I couldn't hear more tbh. This guy is stuck more in Ronaldo's arse then Howson is in Rio's
I didn't want him either. You'd have needed a crystal ball to have seen how it turned out, though. He was meant to turn the club where he made his name into winners. But he turned out to be more deranged than anyone could've imagined.
The thing is, Ronaldo did save our proverbial bacon last season. Ole set the house on fire and timbers were falling, yet Ronaldo made barely (very barely) decent a season that would likely have seen us in a relegation fight.
But going into the summer, well, Ronaldo wanted out and now he’s done what he’s done. The club is criticized for not letting Ronaldo go, but apart from a Saudi club no other club that we know of wanted him. And quite a few clubs we do know of said no. So while it made sense to bring back Ronaldo last season doing so fukked us this season. Fortunately, we have a manager who has handled Ronaldo brilliantly and we’re still very much in the hunt to return to the CL, despite Ronaldo’s disgraceful treatment of the club he professes to love.
Woodward and SAF.Have to ask why the club thought it was a good idea to bring in a 36 year old who's career was only going one way? This is on the club, they are even more to blame than Ronaldo in my opinion.

But there were plenty of reasons to think he was, from how he left first time, to his massive fallout with Mourinho at Madrid, to his all eyes on me non existent fifth penalty for Portugal that time, to his ridiculous all eyes on me celebration in the Champions League final after the penalty against Atletico, to how he acted in his leaving Juventus even. That’s just the football side of things.Exactly. My general dislike for Ronaldo isn't hidden but I have never accused or suspected him to be unprofessional, some are acting like proper mystic megs.
We've gone full Brendan. And with no PL matches this thread will only get worse. So we went full philosophy now? Right and wrong are illusory concepts.

It couldn’t be any surprise that this person wasn’t going to take the fact that he was no longer the big star well, so the signing was never going to end well.
They’re not different though, are they? At most the petulance is just a slightly lower rung on the ladder. To the extent where there can be absolutely no surprise when it escalates.Being petulant is different to being unprofessional. Many players and people may have reactions that are not ideal but are still within their rights which is what you described. Publically attacking your manager in an interview, refusing to enter a game and leaving the stadium are unprofessional actions that were unprecedented and are also extremely rare in Football and sport in general.
I honestly did wonder but wasn't sure! ApologiesYou do know I am talking about the waxwork?

They’re not different at all. It’s very silly to say they are. It’s all just shades of grey.Of course they are different. I'm sorry but it's revisionism to claim that Ronaldo was always perceived as unprofessional.
Uh, no? It would be a terrible move to place a toxic man-child with the kids. It would be far better to make him train alone without supervision until his contract is up. Make him sit away at the furthest corner during team meals. Slowly phase him out and forget about him even though he’s still under a contract at the club, like a forgotten toy left in the attic.
But is his son any good? Would be a shame if he was a top talent and he leaves with Cristiano.
I didn't want him. couldn't careless if he had joined City. Always knew he was a self-centered Diva and Ole wouldn't be able to control him.We didn’t want one of the best players in history? A player who scores goals like no one else
Indeed. So much for the “cultural reset”. Young hard-working players my arse.Have to ask why the club thought it was a good idea to bring in a 36 year old who's career was only going one way? This is on the club, they are even more to blame than Ronaldo in my opinion.
