If that means dispelling all that was said and all reason with it so that you can deal in absolutes, then that's up to you. I for one am happy he called out the Glazers despite strongly disagreeing with other aspects of the interview. That's the only point I'm talking about here.Of course you can't see the parallels and we all know why. It's extremely convenient for him to know these facts (everyone knew them) when taking the pay check which was a bad move for the club and then whining about the same club when he's been creating a complete mess through this shameful behavior. It's a clear attempt at point scoring considering the timing of it and the fact that he's a nobody in this equation - unlike someone like ETH who is actually trying to fix things Ronaldo puts himself first and is trying to undo those trying to fix it.
We get it. You love the guy and want to believe his every word. I'd rather back the club and manager and not this narcissistic delusional prick.
We might just have the best teenager in the World in our hands, after recently producing a World class teenager in Greenwood. What other club can currently claim that?
“So below standard” my arse. The club also started major renovations to the training ground last summer (2021).
This thread kinda fleshes out some of the ETH situation on why Ronaldo might feel aggrieved.
Thing is with calling out the Glazers, he was quite happy to take the money, he couldn't care less about what the Glazers do but slagging them off makes sure he keeps some fans on his side.If that means dispelling all that was said and all reason with it so that you can deal in absolutes, then that's up to you. Zlatan still is number 1 in regard to attention, simply because of his personality and his antics.Zlatan seems more than fine with his second-string role at AC Milan during his un-injured time there lately. I think Zlatan accepts that age does come with a price in terms of how often he plays and where he is, in the pecking order. What Ronaldo is doing right now, I'd never imagine him doing that to the club that brought him up - maybe to Juventus or another club, but to United? Heck no. He is ruining his legacy here more than Solskajer did during his tenure as manager. Solskjaer never once stepped on United - quite the opposite. Ronaldo bears no respect.
This whole "I don't respect him 'cause he doesn't respect me" is such childish bulls**t. No matter how big of a player you are, you are never entitled to anyone's respect, it's got to be earned.
That might actually be good for Portugal. There’ll at least be one player who won’t constantly try to find Ronaldo in the attacking positions. The way I see, Bruno is the current captain of Man Utd, theres no way he would feel cool about all that. And that might affect their chemistry in WC too, which could only be a bad thing to him.
They were lucky to get games early in their careers and build up a reputation and gather experience. Garnacho is just getting his chance now. Only time will tell if he can keep this sort of form up.No. That would be Musiala, with stiff competition from Bellingham, Wirtz, Mukoko. I'm sure I'm forgetting couple of others

Although doesn’t address the digs at Rooney and Neville,

It's a shame he chose to be so inflammatory as this could have been an opportunity to get out of the club whilst endearing himself to the Utd fans.
If he would have just spoken out against the executives and the Glazers, which he did, and went on to say he no longer had respect for the club and wanted to leave in protest, I think we would all be behind him!

Surely they’re better just playing Felix central anyway? I get Ronaldo is their captain and the group stage is normally a lower standard of opposition but he’s been woeful all season. That might actually be good for Portugal. Is there a pole on the cafe to know how many would welcome him back after this?
Yup. Keane went out similarly, although he slated players rather than manager. But at least he had the balls to attend the meeting where it all came out and said the same to their faces.
Might be. But I always had the feeling that the admiration for him surpassed his, admittedly incredible, athletic achievements and extended to him as a person. Whatever scandal there might have been, whatever criticism, there were always plenty of people jumping to his defense.Think that’s a bit silly. It’s quite obvious why he’s been adored at United (and probably still will be in years to come)

Don't want to be mean here, but for a man that has spent at least a decade in England, he's not quite ready for a 'speaking' job in English.I hope to god he doesn't go into punditry because I dread to think how bitter he's going to be if we terminate his contract. He'll make Mike Summerbee seem like a fair and balanced chap.

Also he really doesn't strike me as someone that would do that, isn't enough about him.
According to Rio he brokered a move between the two. I think that's half of the reason he's sticking by him now, because instigated this mess. What seems to be missing in all this uproar is what were the circumstances/promises etc. that brought Ronaldo back to OT? That might shed some light on why he's feeling 'let down'.
I have to admit I couldn't believe when it was announced, why in heaven's name would he want to come back to a struggling club? Was he just being recruited to provide a temporary back up, whilst Rashford got fit, Martial returned to form, or Greenwood was cleared of his problems?
Maybe I missed something in the reading/listening at the time, perhaps someone can clarify?
Did he offer to comeback or was he 'recruited' back into the fold, if so by who? Who were the prime movers, the club or Ronaldo? There was some suggestion SAF played a role, did he? If so, what did he say, did he promise something on behalf of the club on whose authority? What was Ole's role? Was this just another (now infamous) Glazer 'player recruitment scam', just to sell shirts... what was behind it all?
Nothing excuses Ronaldo's petulant behavior or his slagging off of people at the club, especially to a 'swamp dweller' like Morgan, but there has never been any doubt he loved this club, so what has sparked this outrageous (even for him) behavior?
Is it simply that he can no longer 'cut the mustard', and it has fell to ETH to tell him that, or is there more to it?
Suppose we will have to wait for the memoirs (from everyone involved) to get their version of 'the truth'.
It's a tantrum not some complex web of secrets. When he isn't involved as much as he feels entitled to he protests, same as every act of protest since he joined. What seems to be missing in all this uproar is what were the circumstances/promises etc. that brought Ronaldo back to OT?
