Cristiano Ronaldo (I stay)

Pathetic behaviour from Ronaldo if true. People argue he's not wrong to want to leave this mess.

No, he's not necessarily wrong about that, he's wrong to sign a 2 year deal on a huge amount of money and then not to have the professionalism to turn up to preseason, put a shift in, and act with some decency.

It doesn't matter how shite we are, or how far we fell behind his expectations when he signed, because that's the nature of sport. You should honour what you sign up to. He has basically destroyed any good feeling towards him from many fans since signing.

feck off Joel Glazer you money grubbing parasitic cnut.

Dalot drove Ronaldo home after he left Old Trafford after getting subbed in his only preseason game, so it's not all of them. Wouldn't be surprised if he's got his only little clique going on.
But not the more senior players. Who cares about Dalot

It's a pity the way he has behaved.

It honestly shouldn't be a surprise if you paid close attention to his career.

This is who he's become.

But it is a shame for the United fans who idolized him or grew up idolizing him.

He's tarnished his image here.

Joel Glazer being incompetent is nothing new.

We're probably stuck with Ronaldo this season.

The club is in far was shpe than we can ever imagine if Jiel Glazer is forcing Ronaldo on Ten Hag.

Dalot is pretty senior at this point, he starts every game and plays for Portugal. He's only a year younger than Rashford who I reckon you'd include as a senior player. But fair enough.

He believes he is bigger than any club. I don't really hate him for it, he kind of is.

It is just a victim of celebrity culture.

It's not that simple though I'm afraid. I don't rate our current strikers but accept it can't be fixed in one window and Ronaldo is a problem.

Rashford, Martial Sancho, Cunha, Vardy and Elanga competing for the front 3 is far from ideal but its a necessary step to remove Ronaldo at this point and I'm a fan of his
Cunha at that price is a non-starter. Just don't see the Vardy one happening either.

Some might say that the sad thing is Joel G having his pet favourite players around like Martial and now Ronaldo is holding back the club. But to my mind the saddest thing is Joel is just a very poor imitation of his father and at best will only manage to slow the degradation of his dad's businesses.

It's like any family business. It's rare that the next generation have the talent to improve the business. They usually would be better just staying out of the way but....ego and Narcissism get in the way.

The glazers really do need to go at this point. This is an act of sabotage

Glazer wanting to keep Ronaldo simply for commercial reasons. Gotta have those nice lump sum dividends

By social media following sure, but he doesn't get to where he is without the clubs in the 1st place.

Of course and very few people obtain any degree of success without help from other people and institutions.

I am just saying if there is anyone who I don't blame for "thinking they are bigger than their club" it is him.

Clubs have swallowed it for years because he was so good, unfortunately his current ability does not make it worth the drama anymore.

It was really obvious that the Ronaldo signing was initiated by the Glazers. They have no fecking clue how to build a team and are all about commercial possibilities.

We will probably let him go and be worse than before. Most will say he had to go regardless.

No it wouldn’t. It would be far better if he left.
We may have no striker but we’d have a happy, functional team.
A functional team relying on Rashford and Martial for goals.. Both of which are prone to injuries every season

Nah, not for me.

Maybe the Atletico rumors (after all, their fans literally had a mini type protest ) are just a rouse (sp?) to get the real Madrid to panic buy and get Ronaldo back? Similar to what they did to us with the City rumors last year.

Only difference is, I don't think Real are run by such bufoons, as we are.

Irrespective of last seasons goals you have to question the unknown, where would this team have been without Ronaldo signing, the Journos bang on about the goals he brought, but what we just cannot know is how the team would have performed without him, can't help but feel they would have been more functional as a unit, whether or not they would have been good enough to keep Ole in charge is another matter, I will be interested to read an autobiography by Ole on his time as Utd manager,

As opposed to relying on a 37 year old Ronaldo, who's susceptible to jetting off to Portugal anytime the starting line up doesn't suit his requirements.

And the Ronaldo fans will jump on every single positive thing he may do, no matter how small, and say they were right.

These kind of comments don't serve any purpose because regardless of the outcome we cant actually prove the alternative choices would have been better or worse. And even if there was indisputable evidence, people would still deny it or try to justify it.

He goes or stays, the club should remain the priority.

It was not an unpopular opinion at the time that we would be challenging for the league. With the 3 huge signings in varane, sancho, and ronaldo, we were spoken about in a way that we would genuinely have a run.

But the ronaldo signing seems to have caused more harm than good.

The way he left the first time wasn't enough?
