Let's see if Bayern are as keen.
Well most of the matches we were saved by Ronaldo and/or De GeaReally going to miss this phrase on here. Single handedly shite from August to February.
By all accounts, we've got £140m (plus sales, maybe) to spend and need a new left back, new right back, a centre half, at least two central midfielders, a left forward and now a 25 a season goalscoring number nine immediately ready to play 40-45 matches.Damn, come back to reality, if you think that's piss poor you are detached from reality
If he leaves then we would need to find a 20+ goals a season striker which is a rarity now. Most of the available targets have already moved on . Victor Osimhen could be an option from the ones that remain or if we can lure Lewandowski somehow away from Barca.
Yeah, but the thing is I think the expensive placeholding would have been a marriage of convenience for this season had Ronaldo been satisfied to stay. He gets paid a fortune, we get to assess what ETH requires from a striker. Even this forum is struggling to identify interesting forward options this summer and that's without being encumbered by a need for realism.I also really feel that any team that is set up to get the best out of players like Rashford Martial or an ageing declining Ronadlo are on a hiding to nothing. If you’re aiming to win stuff and you’re emphasising supplying one player in particular you should at least insist they are amongst the best players in the game. It’s just expensive place holding until the next thing comes along otherwise.
Aye, well that's great but who realistic will we replace him with. United are a joke, can't get any transfer over the line. He has too stay.
He scored 3 more PL goals last season than Vardy, 4 more than Zaha. He's replaceable.
I agree at the insanity of people being happy about this, but does playing a 38 year old striker suit eth’s style and can he bring the energy needed? If not and we get get someone in to replace would that might be a blessing in disguise? Enthusiasm and hunger etcUpset? I'm just bemused at the insanity of looking at the pile of shite that was Manchester United last season and being delighted at the prospect of losing the only bloke in the squad who looked like scoring.
I can't wait to see who the list of world beaters we can get hold of, ready to play almost every game we play all season with Martial to compete with, for the £40m we'll have left to spend this summer.
Lewa won't join us let's be realistic.Ronaldo and Lewandowski swap is the only option I can see suiting us.
We don't have 80-100m to bang on a striker.
I think others have made a good comparison to United with RVN versus Saha, though RVN was a better player who scored more goals, you had to build everything around him, and others on the team scored rarely. With Saha we were a better team. Then what type do we need? He scored 25+ goals including a few deciders, he IS the only type of striker we need. I say force him to stay, his dedication is strong enough to keep going. Who should step in and score the number of goals he does anyway? 3/10 Rashford probably not.
He’s done it to us again!
we scored more goals every season without RonaldoHilarious that this tweet is being posted on a RedCafe that thinks Bruno is shite and Rashford only gets games because he's English.
Now we apparently don't need to replace the output of the only guy who looked like scoring all season.

Martin Lewis couldn't make that budget and list of requirements work.

Another mammoth Ronaldo leaving thread incoming.

Ronaldo is not a possession style, build up play striker, imho. He can do it, but it’s not what he’s best at.
We need a serious rebuild, this next season is for building, not for winning. Having Ronaldo for one more season doesn’t really solve any problem. We might miss him, but we’d have to replace him next summer anyway.
He's angling for a move out of Bayern, so where will he go?
They weren’t dysfunctional until he arrived. In a dysfunctional team tbf.
Didn't see Rashford getting near those numbers.
I'm OK with him leaving but folks need to snap out of it and realize he needs replacing with a good CF.
I wonder if this is why the kit was delayed? there would be a million #7 shirts returned if it was released yesterday.

With players the Cafe just spent a season telling everyone who'd listen shouldn't be playing matches for Manchester United and a handful who won't kick a ball for us again.we scored more goals every season without Ronaldo

I'd happily have us finishing 17th if that means we can get rid of that narcissist twat and let ETH build a young team and implement his football. You favour running about a bit over top quality finishing?
We replace Ronaldo with King we're finishing 7th or 8th
