Looked pissed off on the bench and then noticed him frustrated in front of the bench.

He must surely know he can't just start because of his previous records, that's just madness. He clearly drags the team performance down, most can see it now.

Gone in January hopefully.

First really good performance under Ten Hag but no, we couldn't have that perfect evening, baby Ronaldo had to have some of the spotlight.

Cnut.

If there was any doubt that Ronaldo was individual before team, he has laid it all bare at his time for United. Constantly toxic presence. Can't stand us having our best game of the season, has to make it about him. Prick.

Genuinely think he’d be happier if he played, scored a couple, and we lost. All Ronaldo cares about is Ronaldo.

I can’t actually put into words how much I dislike him as a person. Has absolutely no class whatsoever. I would be delighted if he never played for the club again. Unfortunately no one wants him as he found out this summer. What an embarrassing end to a great career.

Well, I believed you first time. "I can't believe" people honing in on an unused substitute.
I understand people are annoyed at him for leaving early, and I'm not going to defend him if he's being a child again but I'll wait until it's confirmed he's being a dick before call him a cnut like some in here. I'd rather focus on the excellent result and performance, a player that didn't even get a kick today is for some reason the headline.

This kind of stuff was always on the cards with him once he couldn’t get his transfer. He behaved not too differently for the first half of the 08/09 after being refused his move to Real that summer. Really can’t wait until he’s gone.

Menaldo, team played well and he wanted to make it about him.

I can maybe understand if he walked off at that time and we were scoreless or one goal down needing to attack. He was watching a game where the team was playing outstanding from start to finish with full control over the game...why wouldn't you pretend to be happy for your team? Would it have been better for him to get subbed on at the 90th minute for mop-up duty?

Why wait January? After this he shouldn't play for us anymore. So sell him in MLS or to Saudi Arabia this week

Bringing on Elanga was intentionally disrespectful. That's what triggered his reaction.

I am one of his defenders (looking at his quality) and if this wasn't something tenHag agreed on, he should be shown door. Tonight.

Team's leaving it all on the pitch and grinding out a good win and he sulks and storms off before the final whistle? Come on, man. You are 38, ffs.

Ronaldo is trying to force the sale cause he's being disrespected and wasted. Why should he want to spend his last year like this?

Ten Hag sent his message when he and others walked out from a pre season game. Will be interesting to see how it's dealt with. Unfortunately we can't go without a striker for now
I would rather play Lindelöf as striker ahead of Ronaldo at the moment

Guy is really a prick when things don't go his way. Always has been like this. He only cares about himself.

Shearer said the same during the coverage, and he's very much correct.

ETH will now have to answer questions on this in the presser. He has the ammo now, if he wants to, to legitimately make an example of Ronaldo.

ETH is stuck with him. A bad result or a problem with scoring goals and Ronaldo fans will blame ETH for not having Ronaldo in the squad or on the pitch. Exactly what happend against Newcastle.

As long as Ronaldo is at the club he will make ETH his job a lot harder. He cant remove Ronaldo from the squad without a big reaction from Ronaldo friends in the media (Rio, Evra, Keane and others) and Ronaldo fans in general. Arteta did it to Auba and Ozil at Arsenal... those players arent anywhere near Ronaldo and that already caused a problem for Arteta.

This is just what he has to do to try and stay relevant now. He's a spoilt child

Why play a player who is behaving like this. For team spirit it should be better to play Tom Heaton as no9 than him.
And we have enough players who can play as a striker one more month.

Needs to find a club that actually wants him before he forces a sale. Otherwise he can enjoy ending his career in Saudi Arabia.

Any word on if Martial might be back for Saturday? If so I guarantee he'll be on the bench and Ronaldo left out the squad (wouldn't surprise me if we claim he's missing due to picking up a knock though).

Ronaldo has made it easy for ETH now though. Before I'd agree with you, but now it's a free hit.

I feel sorry for Ronaldo, the club is holding him hostage. His career is being deliberately sabotaged so Messi can overtake all of his records.

he's done, white text.

Well, it's what you'd expect from an elite cnut.

Meanwhile, it's glaringly obvious that we're much better without him on the pitch - which is all we should care about.

Ronaldo is a great player. It is sad how short people's memories are. He was great last year. The two goals he against Newcastle should have stood. He would have put the chances away today.

He is not a victim or anything. The team obviously plays better without him. The club doesn’t owe him anything.

He only cares about himself. This is why I always find it baffling how so many fans love him so unconditionally. And he is only still here because everyone knows he’s past it, and no one wants his slow feet, huge wages and huge ego.
