Bangla should have won this. They threw away the good start but still could have scored 250. That would have been enough to win this

Apart from Kohli, who else was missing this tournament? And why isn't the team management (or selectors) picking some of the youngsters instead of guys like Rayudu, Jadhav etc.
Jadhav has been contributing with the ball for him to be in the team. Rayudu just got called up after finding form in the IPL. Deserves more time in the team.
I think we should pick Pant instead of Kartik. And Rahul at #3 with Kohli at #4.
The problem with Jadhav is that he's already 33 years old and will be 34 by the time the next world cup begins. I don't think he is a certainty in the regular team, so giving him game time won't help towards building confidence for the world cup.
I don't think there needs to be a fixed 3 and 4. Kohli should bat at 3, but then Rahul is not suited for number 4. So probably we should try and rotate the two players/spots to see how it goes.

To be fair you're missing Roach and Holder who've been your two best bowlers in the last year or so. I actually think the pace bowling of this Windies team is decent.
Gabriel has been our best bowler for some time now IMO. He’s come on leaps and bounds in the last 1-2 years, far more than anyone would ever really have expected. Agree that we’re weaker without Holder and Roach, but I don’t think they would have made a big difference on this tour.

I dont know what exact issues behind the WIs team but imagine having (or had) Gayle, Bravos, Samuels, Simmons, Pollard, Russell, Brathwaite etc. to pick from. Its a real shame because the quality is there but the commitment isnt.
We’ve been criminally mismanaged for years now. The leadership of the WICB has been terrible. Dave Cameron has been running us into the ground and is probably one of the most hated men in the whole Caribbean.
Alienating our best players, selecting players based on what islands they’re from, not paying players properly, not trying to invest at the grass roots level and get a proper steady stream of players coming through, you name it, the WICB has been botching it for some time now.
It’s a depressing state of affairs, and there isn’t really anything we can do about it.
It is the West Indies so, as delighted as I am for the kid, I wouldn't make a big deal out of it. Rohit Sharma scored two centuries on his test debut (series) and he turned out to be a rubbish test batsman. Playing in India for our guys is very easy - bloody Jadeja has 3 triple centuries; the real test will be at the end of the year.
