Cricket Draft - Tests

Imran at 7 is good. He was an excellent batsman throughout the 80s, averaged over 40 which was massive at the time. I think you should go for 4 bowlers + Imran.

Considering you have zero part time options unless Greg takes a leaf out of his brothers book and goes under-arm on us, you should look at both.

There are still better options than Vengsarkar left but there's an alarming lack of quality batting left

Erm.. Vensarkar should've gone in the last round itself. At his peak (2-3 years) he was simply amazing (compared to others being picked in the final rounds)

His record away from home is sketchy at best and it's something that will be pointed out

I doubt. Vengsarkar during his peak was regarded among one of the finest in the world. He should have gone in earlier round. It was bit of oversight on my part when I picked Thorpe last round. For this round, I had Vengsarkar, De Silva, Cullinan and Kallicharran lined up but was not thinking much on comparison among them as I knew most of them will be taken before my turn comes. So was just waiting for the available one. Happy with who I got :)

PM'd my pick to Aldo. I'm off for the night.

I pointed out that given the stage of the draft, its head and shoulders above other picks.

Yeah, this. Vengsarkar won't be compared head-to-head with Ponting-Sachin-Lara, but will be with picks of batsmen at this stage or similar and there he doesn't look bad at all.

Crap knows my picks. I probably won't be on for two days. Saturday night your time. I got cricket tomorrow and Sydney FC in the night time.

Do we have permission to skip your turn, if we come to a point where we don't know your picks?

"Big Mac" Brian McMillan. Underrated because of limited time he got on international stage, but one of the most reliable South African in 90's after their return.

Barring Boon, they'd all gladly give me a blanket and a hot cup of tea. And let me hug them. The sweethearts.

So Ghaliboy has been banned. We need to find a replacement for him.
