Cop in America doing a bad job, again

@KirkDuyt first of all, well thought out post. A lot of truth in what you said, and as @afrocentricity mentioned, you seem to be a pretty understanding guy if those officers came at you like that right off the bat.

Just wanted to let you know, as I’m not sure what, if anything, you were charged with...but you can also get a DUI on a bicycle. At least here, not sure if it’s the same as where you are. Just a heads up :)

They wrote me up for that, but after having spend the night in a cell they tore up the ticket saying they were sure I had learned my lesson. I also had a conversation with the officers that arrested me which I think may have cleared the air a bit.

Unless you're being a danger to other people on the road or very loud, cops here usually don't bother you on a bicycle. It's pretty much the only way to get around when you go to a pub, so.

so the girl passes the breathalyzer and the dickhead cops still give her a citation

then he decides to arrest her because she doesnt want to give him her last name

he then tackles her, pulls her hair and then punches her in the head multiple times

only then after they assaulted her and arrested her in front of her daughter does she spit at them




this is the moment he says to her "you're about to get dropped"

so glad we have these heroes out there protecting us from people having unopened alcohol on the beach. the police in this country are completely out of control. they are enabled by their fellow officers who look the other way, lie to protect them and the bootlickers like mike who justify literally anything
 
Patiently waits for Mike to explain how NJ beach laws work regarding unopened alcohol and how the police are within their rights to assault a girl like that.

She wasn't even getting a citation until she mouthed off. Then she refused to give her name, which is also an offense in NJ. Then she resisted arrest and to top it off she spat at the officer. If she spat in his face while they struggled on the ground it changes the entire narrative.

The girl has even back tracked and admitted she was wrong.

Agreed. And until such time as their fellow officers stand up for what’s right & call out the asshole cops then I don’t hold much hope for any improvement.

I thought maybe it was to protect her name but it is weird for sure. Think there was a point where he switched off the cam too but maybe it is just edited for the video.

That is dreadful. Complete lack of people skills. Cop goes from 1-100 and totally loses his cool.

The incident was so low level and gets totally blown out of proportion. Absolutely no need. Yes she's cocky but just speak to her and sort it out. Could have all been avoided in my opinion.
 
You can actually hear a touch of what sounds like excitement in his voice when he says “you’re about to get dropped”. And then he sounds like he’s panicking a bit when explaining what happened to the other officers.

They have these stupid open container laws everywhere. I've been all over Italy walking around with locals drinking beers openly and enjoying themselves with no trouble.

Yeah there's no chance that officer didn't do that for his personal enjoyment. Disgusting. His fellow officer is just as bad for not trying to deescalate the situation at all. What are the chances this officer is a "incel" ?

A lot of cops in America are shitbag cowards. Twisted fecking tea, they treated that situation like she was smoking meth on the beach. He also told her not to make a scene and then does that. The admission at the end though " so I hit her a couple of times". fecking coward, no wonder he's on beach patrol and not out catching real criminals.
