True legend.
I reckon every other government employee completing twenty years of service in the Indian Civil Services should all get a bigger recognition. Shame the cretins that drafted our constitution ain't as talented as zing or other inward looking cricket fans..

Warne, Ponting, Mcgrath, Lara, Akram, Richards and various other greats all have gone on record saying Sachin's one of the greatest batsmen ever. Bradman himself thought Sachin's style reminded him of himself.
But vijay isn't fooled, seen right through all these idiots.. vijay, you clever boy.
And all this posturing about 'King Viv' isn't fooling anyone, you were about 10 years old probably when Richards was at his peak. As a 10 year old, you'd have been even more retarded than you are now -- which takes quite some beating, to be fair.
This post sounds more like a penis enlarging pill review I was reading the other day...Did any one ever challenge Sachin wasnt one of the greatest batsman ever elaborate?
Greatest batsman of all time.
If by greatest of all time you mean arguably the best of this last generation, either to or behind Ponting.
And I hate that faggot, but his record does stack up nicely against Tendulkars.
OH wait I get it. You meant greatest ODI batsmen of all time. Fair point.
Hooper was great to watch. . .but he's probably the biggest waste of talent, ever. I don't think I've seen many more stylish players.
One Mark E. Waugh springs to mind.
And then there's V.V.S. Laxman. Damien Martyn perchance?
Coincidentally they're all my four favorite players, and all subscribe to both the sentiments in your post.
I think Waugh, and even Laxxman could be both.
Martyn wasn't as stylish as any of them, in my mind, and I'd say he got a bit more out of his talent (once he was allowed back into the side) than either Waugh or Laxxman have.
Though I may be confusing aesthetically pleasing (to watch) with true style. Though Waugh was the king of style it has to be said, feck he made it look easy. He played like he just didn't give a shit too.
Gower and Bosman were before my time.
And we didn't get to watch too many Pakistan matches down here, though Inzi was fat, and I'll give him credit for that.

Well I'm 23, and the first real cricketing memories I have are of Bevan hitting the winning runs against the W. Indies.

I don't think Mark Waugh was a failure. There was a time around 86 to 90, when you get Mark Waugh out, that would mean Aussies were doomed.
He's stylish, but you have to be pretty harsh to call him a failure.
Mark Waugh made his test debut in the 91 Ashes with a century.
Between 86 to 90 he never earned a cap.
