Good signing - well-balanced defensive and attacking skills in bowyer

Surprised you lot didn't get a big name wide man though

Also very good work rate. Shame he's scum.

Great signing, as I think this effectively puts you out of the running for Duff (at least this year). ;)

He'll give you depth and more options. I wouldn't say he was a 'fantastic' player, but a good signing nevertheless.

I think he's a good signing for you but here's hoping he moves to Liverpool as well and then he can indulge his scally tendencies some more. ;)

It doesnt matter if hes Maradona.
Leeds singed him and were stuck with the little Hitler, Liverpool have taken him on with his reputation.
Liverpool are saying that its ok to beat up asian students, as long as you can play football.

Seriously, I thought you lot might move for an out-and-out winger such as the likes of emerton, d'alessandro or overmars. Decidely not superstars but prominent enough.

emerton is not a winger, nor is d'alessandro. . .overmars is schite and the wrong side of 30 anyway.

besides which, lee bowyer is a more "prominent" player than either of d'alessandro or emerton.

you're not doing very well here, are you. . ?

Granted both Emerton (wing-back) and D'Allesandro (left sided midfielder) are not true wingers but they could certainly fill the wide man roles nicely as they have done several times for their clubs.

Prominent as in being well known and able to give a bit of flair to the pool midfield on the wings.

Aren't they? They are widely regarded as some of the best young midfielde prospects in the world today, of course "big name" certainly not on the level of a rivaldo but I think they do fit a pretty high profile.
