Combined Man Utd Liverpool 11

Only Coutinho and Mane got in mine. They'll probably dick us 3-0 now.

Why is Sarah in so many of these? For proven class you pick Mata and even short term form you would have Mkhi in there.
It's even hard to have Mane in there since he misses so many games imo.

Exactly. I'm seeing Salah all over and I'm wondering why?

Dude isn't as good as any of our attacking players, none at all. All of Martial,Lukaku, Rashford, Mhki and Mata are better player than him.

Is it because he has pace? He's surprisingly in a lot of line up, in some even over Martial.

I'd just have all United except mane.

Young/blind over Robertson too.

@Santoryo
I think its because they have selected so many Utd players that they feel they have to go scouser when theres a credible Liverpool alternative.
Theres also a bit of greener grass involved when they have to choose in a position that is deemed in need of improvement for Utd. Its why Matip was in 90 percent of these lineups last year.
Oh we can't choose that Utd player since we need an upgrade so the rival player will do.
I would rather go 3-5-2 with our squad than pick Salah

Matip isn’t ahead of Smalling let alone Jones.

I think Matip's a decent defender personally, just hasn't got a good partner and no protection in front of him.

Smalling is trash. Both games he's played in where the opposition have scored he's looked absolutely lost positionally on the goals. He basically only had that good season because he got away with a feck tonne of shirt-pulling every game.

No chance we could have held off on this thread until after the game no?

I'd only Mane and Coutinho in our team. Salah's end product is horrendous, I wouldn't have him over Rashford or Mkhi.

Does RAWK have a thread on this? I'd be interested to see how their teams differ.

I'd love to see that. We must have someone with an account on there that can make the thread.

This for me. Liverpools 3 behind the striker are 2nd best in the league for my money (City being 1st)

On paper

Valencia Bailly Rojo Blind
Mata Pogba Matic Mane
Lukaku Ibrahimovic

Based on this season's form?

De Gea

Fun feature by BBC. I'm in agreement with most that Mane and Coutinho are the two 'Pool players that come in without question. I'm surprised there's no appreciation for Winjaldum. Games they've been rampant he was an important cog. I think he'd do well in a midfield with Pogba and Matic. But considering I'd have Jose in as the manager and play the way United does now, this would be my lineup:

DDG
Valencia-Jones-Bailly-Milner
Pogba-Matic
Sane-Coutinho-Martial
Lukaku

'Mane in without question', and then he doesn't make you team, that's some tough love. Then you steal a City player - cheeky sod.

I'd probs swap DeGea for Mignolet. Then punch myself and swap them back.
