I really don't like Saban. Now he's rattling on about how not having an SEC school in the playoffs would be "disrespectful" to the Conference. It has nothing to do with the SEC, it's once again Saban trying to get his team in to the playoffs when they are really not deserving. Beat Texas and all the disrespect would have disappeared.

We will be happy to take Arch.

Not the worst idea to go into the draft early when you might fall to a better organization because the top of the QB order is more or less settled, but maybe that’s too much of a ’big brain’ move.

That was so bad by Georgia. Easy field goal range and 3 plays later it’s a 50 yarder missed

The protection on the QB for Bama's second TD was glorious

Also we're 2 quarters away from bedlam
We could really get to see if the SEC gets left out. Being an SEC fan and on past history, I think they deserve to get one team in. However, based on this year alone you could easily have 3 unbeaten Power 5 Conference Champs and two 1 loss Conference Champs. If this is the case then surely, if one of those 1 loss Conference Champs beats the other then objectively that team should be in.

Plus I dislike Saban and that alone is reason enough to leave Alabama out.

Absolute joke that they are reviewing this after they let Alabama get away with a non catch in a massive placec

Thank fecking god, the fecking Bulldogs have finally fecking lost.

Some fecking sanity will finally be restored in this fecking city.

Very weird game that. Georgia lost a game in which Bama averaged 3 yards per carry & QB had 13 completions. Just far too many mistakes by Georgia

The best thing that can happen now is for FSU to lose (sorry @calodo2003 )

1 Michigan
4 Alabama

2 Washington
3 Texas
No worries. Didn't expect to be here regardless when the season started. With Travis, it would be a bit of a different scenario as we would have had three top 25 wins (provided we would have won tonight) & it would have been tough to take Alabama in over us.

But we don't even know who will be starting at QB tonight. Might be a fun game.

I’d personally rather have FSU in (and healthy) but I worry that if FSU somehow wins tonight & gets in, theyget wrecked in the semis

If FSU wins, do you think Alabama gets in? Also do you think Georgia has any chance at all of getting in?
I think Bama does, and I think it’ll cause a shit storm because an undefeated conference champ got snubbed - even though with the QB situation, it’s the ‘smart’ thing to do.

All that said… like Urban Meyer just pointed out, his team won a conference title with their 3rd string QB in 2014.

Think it will be unfortunate for FSU to miss out but regardless of the result I don’t think that they can pick FSU with this QB situation

What to do? Personally, I think the 4 best teams in the country are Michigan, Washington, Georgia and Bama. However, the 4 most deserving teams in terms of accomplishments and record are Michigan, Washington, FSU and Texas.

Glad is not me having to make the call.

Ok so who’s getting in?

michigan
Washington

they seem like they’re locks from what I can see?

and then the other 4 to go into tare

FSU (unbeaten ACC Champions?)
Texas (who beat)
Bama (who beat)
Georgia

presumably they put Texas ahead of bama who after today are ahead of Georgia? So does it come down to ranking FSU vs Bama?

Or do they say bama are better than they were in September and are now better than Texas? Or just ditch FSU? That seems more arbitrary but I find this process often is

Michigan vs FSU in the Rose Bowl
Washington vs Texas in the Sugar Bowl

I didn't want to jinx it, but yes was hoping for Alabama to win (also Iowa but you can't have everything).

Right now the only way that Alabama makes it is if the committee throws out all precedent and gives them the SEC + they beat Georgia bump, simultaneously penalizing FSU for their QB injury (which would be stupid; we beat Bama in the CFP championship with a backup QB a few years ago).

And they've given themselves a noon deadline!

Went to bed while listening to the game around the beginning of the fourth quarter, missed the final stanza, & there was some legit worrying times in the fourth. That INT was huge.

This is 100% correct. Hoping it’s FSU and Texas who join the other two.
