I’ve barely watched him play but he throws a beautiful ball.Oh boy...Zach Wilson's stock is going to soar after tonight. 330 yards passing...in the first half.

Darnold is pretty close to being considered a bust imo, so they would take another QB for sure. Also, Sewell sat out the last year, which makes him a bit harder to evaluate in the present.
He might be a bust, but how the hell would anyone succeed as a Jets QB. No talent around you and constantly running for your life. I think Lawrence would struggle there too. Who was the last Jets QB to have a decent year? Pennington?
Well the franchise seem to not be doing themselves any favors by consistently picking the wrong coaches and "star" players. The LeVeon deal didn't work out and they have consistently brought in the wrong players at QB for over a decade - Mark Sanchez, Geno Smith, Fitzpatrick, Josh McCown, and Darnold. They've been consistently rubbish since a brief spell when they got into the playoffs with Sanchez and LaDanian Tomlinson around the 2008-10 period.
As an SC fan I saw a lot of Sanchez and Darnold. Of all the SC qb’s (including Leinert) it was SD that I was sure would be a success. And then the Jets picked him. I actually hope the jets pick another QB so Sam can start fresh somewhere else. I don’t think he’ll be pro-bowl good, but he can be a competent NFL starter.
There are just some sports franchises that can never get it right (ie. knicks, jets, etc) and I do t see anything changing for them soon.
I remember thinking John David Booty would take the reins and USC would keep going on a tear like Bama is now.As an SC fan I saw a lot of Sanchez and Darnold. JDB wasn't bad. Actually the list of QB's after him wasn't bad (although don't get me started on Kessler). But the coaching? It really was like Utd after Sir Alex. Except we went narcistic daddy's boy to narcistic alcoholic drug user to overwhelmed goody good boy.I remember thinking John David Booty would take the reins and USC would keep going on a tear like Bama is now.

Darnold has nothing of a supporting cast there, he'd do fine elsewhere or if the Jets could build a decent team.
Speaking of stud college QBs and hype, anyone recall Ron Powlus?
Should not have gone to ND. System didn't fit his skillset. Think he was headed to either FSU or PSU then switched, if memory serves, and I think Bowden would have got more out of his talent.
I’m a Clemson fan.Damn you @Carolina Red and your stupid Cocks. I didn't realize your stupid football team had backed out of the prestigious Gaparilla Bowl against my mighty UAB Blazers. I was (multiple) beered up and ready to watch the game and then saw it was canceled. I blame you.
When I saw Darnold play against Penn St, I thought he was destined for greatness and would break the duck of USC QB failures in the NFL.I just haven't seen anything in him that leads me to believe he would be a successful starter.
@Raoul your boy done fecked his knee tonight.
I’m not going to say anything positive about going up 14 in the first three minutes so as not to jinx it.
Damn bro. Y’all just won the Cotton Bowl. I’d hate to see you if y’all had lostThat’s sort of the end of the season for me. Props to all those guys putting their health on the line without direct compensation to entertain lazy hypocrites like me.
I think you have, when Georgia beat us and I went on a mini-rant that Texas bourbon shouldn’t be called bourbon.Damn bro. Y’all just won the Cotton Bowl. I’d hate to see you if y’all had lost
I think I do remember that nowI think you have, when Georgia beat us and I went on a mini-rant that Texas bourbon shouldn’t be called bourbon.
I was just trying to show my appreciation for the team in my somewhat dour style.
I mean... they’re SEC, where it just means more! Which means their bench players could win conference titles in lesser conferences... right? Right?!?!?Mullens can go do one, moaning about missing players. We had to play LSU last year without half a dozen of some of our best players.

Yep. I’m making fun of shit I’ve heard people actually say.Not sure if joking, but as someone who was forced to listen to Paul Feinbaum (or however you spell the Crypt Keepers secret human identity) back when he was a semi-regional host in Birmingham, this is the actual mindset of SEC/Alabama fans.
Alabama fans are the absolute worst. Like chase you down the road screaming at you if you have an Auburn/Tennessee license plate cover. The Shula years were glorious.

Handbags at the end of the Tulsa / Miss St game
Fecking Dolphins physicians not greenlighting the Brees signing. Really hope Alabama falls back to the yesteryears soon.
#4 Heath should be banned by the NCAA from playing another collegiate game at any level (if he still has eligibility per class). Not quite Merriweather level of asshattery but not far off.
What an awful loss for Cincinnati . Some absolutely shocking mistakes at the end . I can't understand throwing the ball at the end on third down when it wasn't a clear open play
Now, now... you well know that Clemson’s been ending Ohio State careers since 1978.Every season I hope Notre Dame does something useful and every season I'm disappointed and I never learn.
It's nearly 1 AM where I'm at so I won't be staying up for the major game of the night. Hoping I wake up to us avenging last year's defeat @Carolina Red
