I love how scoring against Ecuador has suddenly convinced people - but one way or another, it was a good strike in limited space.
Why do you think Amsterdam is a "shitpile"?!
(unrelated, first time I've seen Gakpo do something impressive in 6+ games)
Well people have been downplaying his terrific league form and now want to downplay his ability on the world stage, been strange to see when the talent is clear to everyone including our managerNothing more knee-jerk than people wanting players based on their performances at international tournaments, it's fun though.
@KirkDuyt is from Den Haag actually, but I suppose it doesn't matter too much re. dislike for Amsterdam.Because he‘s from Rotterdam
Best scouts are Redcafe membersHes not good enough blah blah blah

Yup, when tournament ends only NASA will be able to sign him. What are we up to now? £65m?
Nope. Because ETH wanted him and he is kind of proving why.Nothing more knee-jerk than people wanting players based on their performances at international tournaments, it's fun though.
I mean it's a valid question. A player can be a good player and still not be a smart signing. We have left wingers. We need a striker."We don't need him. Can he even play as a 9”

Everyone on the caf told me he was shite in summer!

For what it's worth, it's nowhere near my favorite city in the Netherlands either. I imagine it's interesting and fun for tourists though.

Well can he play as a number 9? Is that where he mostly plays? Do we need another left winger?

This suggests he plays pretty exclusively out left, one game as a central striker all season.
Agreed. If anything he seems very similar to Rashford: more comfortable from the left, can play up top if playing on the counter but otherwise can't play with his back to goal.I mean it's a valid question. Can he play no9? No"We don't need him. Can he even play as a 9”

I've never actually been there! On my list though, it's supposed to be nice, yeah.Everyone knows that Groningen is the best city in the Netherlands.

I don't get people wanting rashford out anyway. But yeah. Gakpo scored a great goal but hasn't shown any hold up play. It's something that takes time to develop, but I just don't think he's that sort of player. Very good technically with crossing, passing and shooting of course, good movement, but Netherlands visibly lack Memphis here for me simply due to his hold up play.Agreed. A lot of people want Rashford out yet want to sign his clone. Odd forum at times.
The muppets on here have thrown all the logic out of the window. He's scored two nice goals but I've closely watched his general game to see if he'll be a fit up front and I still can't see it.I mean it's a valid question. His biggest weakness is that he is named Cody, but not with a Brazilian flag next to his name. Or perhaps Gancho. If he were, the Caf would be creaming themselves at the prospect of getting him, even for a 100 million.
Because of course, the caf has never been excited about the prospect of signing a Dutch player.
