Turnover not takeover
I'm not sure they can but IDK for sureThe shares being no voting is exactly the point. Once a voting majority is taken, they can simply vote to buy back the non voting shares issued.

TBF, you're being a bit OTT, IMHO
Yet it's literally what Forbes does. I think Forbes would know if they're underestimating wealth by a factor of 10 and adjust that. I'll take the FT and Forbes opinion on this unless/until something more reliable and equally as independent shows where the money is coming from. It’s probably impossible for Forbes to get a accurate wealth estimate on them. I read somewhere that the estimate is probably x10 or something.
Indeed. United will have some money in the summer for transfers, but borrowing money to fund transfers (which is what we have been doing) is not really a long term strategy.
We of course have the outstanding £570m Glazer takeover debt sitting on the balance sheet, plus we have drawn down £200m of our £300m revolving credit facilities (additional £100m drawdown on 3 October 2022) - that is a lot of debt to be loading on to the club. We already owe £306.8m in outstanding transfer fees, of which £134m is due to be paid within the next 12 months (even if we sign no players at all this summer, we will still spend £134m on transfer payments). It's not a great picture.
QIB is not a small bank. It is not the largest, but the bank owns assets by 2020 of about 47B usd. I would assume they would move some assets and put that investment into Man Utd instead if the opportunity comes up.Not sure how they could borrow billions from QIB to spend on United, given that QIB is a small bank with annual operating income of £1.37bn and annual net profits of £814m (2021).
I know how it works. It is not charity, who said that. But there will be no interest. If Sheik Jasim decides to take a loan from QIB, they will charge him 0% interest rate, but they will own a percentage in the club. The whole principle of Islamic banking is not taking interest and sharing the risk. That's really not how it works, Islamic banks are not charities. They charge interest in all but name.
Hi BB. ASL? XxWith the FBI and CIA investigating the PIF the QIA and QSI needing to adhere to UEFA rules. To buy MUFC. IMO QIA or QIB are TBH the SO and SJR will get this done ASAP, OMG it gets confusing.
From my POV Im not ITK, and IDK WTF WGO I’m just a C.U.N.T.
Because a Qatar ownership is involved and Britains richest man. Not many people can actually buy this, when the opening bid is 5 billion. Its like saying comparing having a ferrari in the showroom and a 500 quid Reliant Regal.
like many billionaires he is a stingy bugger. Look at how after promoting Brexit and promising to build a factory in wales to build his car he did a 180 and instead started building the cars in France.
His history in business & sports is not hard to find. Even the newspapers despised him up until November.
You do realise when they say he has x billion they don’t mean in cash? They mean he is worth that, so the biggest chunk is his 60% ownership of INEOS and then they consider other assets and properties. So most likely no, he can’t afford United with his own cash. 99% of billionaires can’t.So it's not true then is it? He can spend it and chooses not to on some of his assets. Probably because he knows more about business than your typical Redcafe forum poster.
People forget that we make our own money to compete on the squad / Transfer front too.
All this he can't afford it is just propaganda because some people are desperate for the sportswashers. It's so bleeding transparent. Hahaha

If you try reading his 'proposal' (to be generous to that flyer he submitted as his marketing material), you might understand why.
This whole thing richest this and richest that means the sum of feck all if he doesn't have the cash to buy and invest in us and will need to take on more debt burden to get us away from the leeches.
These initial statements mean very little really. Mostly just public posturing, not dissimilar to fishing for likes on social media.
SJR can't really come out and say he's going to spend his entire fortune on United as a gift for the people of Manchester and beyond. As a serious business man and not the front for some regime he has to at least act professional and do things properly.
But I wouldn't be surprised if he viewed this as something of a legacy and invested heavily into a passion project. It's not uncommon for the ultra wealthy to do such things, whether that's philanthropy or just one hell of a late life crisis.
In the end though, all we need is an owner who just lets the club do what it does. Doesn't take money from it and let's football people deal with the football side. We'd be self sufficient in footballing terms, only requiring owner input for things like the stadium and facilities, which in themselves would be an investment on their part.
The past decade has shown even with our hands tied behind our backs we can compete financially. The Glazers biggest failing hasn't been the debt, dividends or even the billion they've cost the club but repeated mismanagement.
Even with those parasites, with a proper structure, proper people on the right positions, we'd have been far more successful post Fergie. As it is we were run by clowns who hired clowns and rather than being Disney World, we were the circus out of American Horror Stories.
We need someone who release us from the debt and invest heavily on the infrastructure. There's also question marks if SJR understands how football works. Both Nice and his Swiss team are managed horribly.

As for comments about sports washing and Ratcliffe green washing please keep it to the appropriate thread.
Quite.Have no idea what's in his current account and savings accounts mate if that's what you're getting at.
I know he's got more money than the entire Glazer family though and we have spent £150-250m a season under them horrible lot for years which has been enough to compete. We haven't competed because it's been badly spent and we've had idiots in control of it. Not because there hasn't been enough to go round.
Liverpool and Arsenal aren't state owned and the scousers have done well for the last 6 years and Arsenal could well win the title this season.
Our fans have to get this idea out of their heads that it HAS to be Qatar or we are finished. It's simply not true.
They appointed Didier Digard in February after sacking Favre. He is regarded and a young up and comer in Ligue Un.The Qataris own PSG, so going off both potential owners other clubs it's hardly an advert for expertise.
From the little I know about Ratcliffe, he quite regularly invests in infrastructure for him businesses so would it be any different with United?
On Nice, as I know little about them, I see that while possibly underachieving in terms of league position, they seem to be the form side in Ligue 1 as far as recent results go. Have they made a change of manager in the past month or so or just an uptick in performances?
Are you flirting with me?Hi BB. ASL? Xx
They appointed a DoF and promoted their B team manager Didier Digard who is a caretaker as things stand if I'm not mistaken. They appointed Didier Digard in February after sacking Favre. He is regarded and a young up and comer in Ligue Un.
Digard doing well

The poster asked if the manager had changed recently. I answered his question. They appointed a DoF and promoted their B team manager Didier Digard who is a caretaker as things stand if I'm not mistaken.
That's after Ratcliffe and Brailsford had brought in Iain Moody to oversee the summer transfer window of 2022, and he by all accounts signed players that Favre didn't want. Moody is also the same person who was sacked from his previous clubs for his racist and homophopic texts but Ratcliffe had no issues bringing him to Nice.
It doesn't matter if it was permanent or temporary, but the truth is that Ratcliffe brought in a racist homophobe to oversee the transfer window for Nice in 2022.The poster asked if the manager had changed recently. I answered his question.
As for Moody, he was hired as an external advisor to assist the CE (as the sporting director up and left) with the summer window only and did not stay with the club after September. Hardly ‘bringing him in’.
Some in favor of Qatar are also talking about debt with the QIB (interest free or not, it's still debt). It's either sovereign wealth behind it, or Jassim will have to buy it on a lot of debt. The reason fans have Qatar in their head is because at the moment, they are the only ones so far to have said they will clear the debt.
What are the biggest concerns under Glazers?
1. The debt - 600m
2. Stadium
3. Infrastructure - ( training ground, womens, etc...)
They are the only bidders who have addressed the above, obviously it could be lip service.
If there were 4/5 buyers and 2 of them said they are going to get rid of debt and build a stadium, it would be even.
With more money than the Glazers how has he run Nice?Have no idea what's in his current account and savings accounts mate if that's what you're getting at.

They’ve always been selling. It’s just about maximising the price now.Once they move on to the next stage then there's no chance they won't sell.

What backstory do you want to know about Iain Moody being hired to oversee the transfer window at Nice?Do you know the background to the story or are we just going for headlines?
You seem to be blowing this out of proportion is all. He sent a few abhorrent messages and resigned from a subsequent job after apologising. Is it not possible that he felt remorse and realised the error of his ways? What backstory do you want to know about Iain Moody being hired to oversee the transfer window at Nice?
It's pretty clear that Ratcliffe doesn't care about Moody's background when it comes to racism and homophopia imo. You don't bring in a piece of shit like Moody if one has any morals.
And on top of that, Moody brought players in that were at odds with the positional play principles of Lucien Favre who in-turn was reported be furious with how the transfer window was handled by the ownership via Moody. And that's how they've got to a stage where they've promoted Digard as the first team head coach from their B team.
