How was that an error? What has happened since that lead you to that conclusion?
Again, I'm not going to spell out why one owner for multiple clubs being allowed is an error. It puts the integrity of the game into question because it opens up avenues for a lot of anticompetitive behaviour. Whether proven yet or not in the examples where it's happened is immaterial. One owner for two clubs in the same competitions is so obviously putting integrity into doubt, it shouldn't need to be explained.

Anyone know who Fair square is and what relevance they have to anything or anyone? Let alone why the Athletic is reporting it like a big deal

Because it's a slow news day and they need rage clicks from United fans.

Do you see how mental your line of reasoning is? Because of your football club, you’re calling into question a London based human rights charity that has been campaigning on this very issue for years and suggesting they support PSG.

Does that not make you pause and question your own beliefs? If your line of reasoning is “maybe the human rights charities are secretly in cahoots with a Paris based football club” then reevaluate your thinking.
my line of reasoning? i'm reading the exact reasons from the tweet. They mention nothing to do with human rights, you're just adding that in.

No wonder your name is Wumminator with logic like this :wenger:

The same will happen in that thread.

Unless warnings or bans are given for those who keep going off topic, it’ll continue. Especially when every post gets responded to with “I can’t believe your bothered about that when we’re getting bought by a criminal regime”.

You’re probably right. It just feels like it’s impossible to bring this one back on track at this stage as everyone has been using it for discussing the rights and wrongs, and people are getting dragged back into it constantly with replies to their previous heated comments.

How can it be immaterial when your point was that the UEFA needs to learn from its errors? The only scenario where there is an error is if any of these owners acted unethically when it came to their ownership of several clubs, if it hasn't happen then you are the one showing no integrity because you are knowingly accusing others of foul play while ostensibly stating that it doesn't matter if it's true or not.

In essence you are suggesting that the UEFA should lack integrity in order to combat a potential loss of integrity.

Its about to go off isnt it? It feels like its done deal not even that its just a bid.

Take this guy with a massive pinch of salt but...

After the intransigence of Liverpool's owners and their refusal to give a percentage exceeding 49% (a controlling percentage in which decision-making takes place), the compass changed completely for Manchester United, very simple steps to announce the acquisition of United

Just means that they are now focusing on United beacuse Liverpool wouldn't give them a controlling stake

Yeah, that’s it. It’s the charities who are greedy. You’ve nailed it.
Ah yes, because human rights charities are run by little angels and there is no corruption there whatsoever at all. Why, who am I to argue?

They’re a human rights charity! That’s their literal job!
So why are they complaining about football fairness and not campaigning about human rights?

Seems like they're doing a shite job.

Just a thought, but when this is all done and dusted, what's everyone gonna argue about then?

Ehhhhhh that kind of makes me think its a negotiation tactic to get Liverpool to knock the price down or increase percentage.
