show me that quote ‘Ineos invest immediately’ the debt will remain therefore any investment will be minimal pal.

Ratcliffe doesn’t have the money to bankroll it or he would have bid for the club outright. Rip united
Here's the source, it's in video form unfortunately.

From ~ 6 mins on is the relevant part, I'll try to dig up the exact quote.

Edit: here's two quotes:

There are "Stipulations in the bid regarding control of certain funds...including how investment would work"

"If Ineos were to decide...let's put money into the club to clear the debts, they would have control over those funds"

I suppose it's not 100% confirmation that Ineos would invest immediately but it's fairly easy to read between the lines and come to that conclusion.

Ratcliffe buying 25% is literally the worst possible outcome for the club, Glazers still in control, still nearly 1 billion in debt, Old Trafford and Carrington still crumbling and in a year or two another PL club with a state owner that will result in us being further down the pecking order. To the fans celebrating Ratcliffe's success, you are celebrating the demise of our club. There is reason you are joined by the fans of every other club in the country.

Now I realise I was actually hoping the Qatari bid would win as I don't have any belief in Ratcliffe doing what needs to be done. I hope the Glazers get what they deserve.

Glad that the Qataris won’t be getting in, reserving my judgment on Ratcliffe until details of the deal is clearer.

Condolences to the fans who might not get to watch the club sign FM-style transfers every summer window invest in its infrastructure, as I'm sure that was the primary reason they wanted the Qataris :(

No, he isn’t.

He has a sentimental connection with Chelsea whom he is a long time season ticket holder of and whom he tried to buy last year only to fail as he, again, couldnt afford to buy it outright

Jassim is the guy who Loves Utd.

Brexit Jim is the guy who uses his birthplace to tug the puppet strings of gullible people and xenophobes, big difference.

Same thing he did with INEOS - played on the ‘keep it British’, Brexit card, then got what he wanted and fecked all the idiots over that’d bought into his nonsense
You're deluded and lashing out. Jassim love united?! Ok...he wasn't a front for a Qatari sports washing operation then. Sure. Loving your insults though...kee em coming. It's hilarious.

Sure but I doubt he gets that on day 1.

This is a man who has seemingly done what many said was impossible. Outmanoeuvred a wealthy State but more impressively, convinced the unconvincable to begin the process of selling Manchester United.

Getting control will be child's play for someone like that.

Ratcliffe bowing before his Glazer masters just to say he owns a small piece is beyond pathetic.

Not sure why. Aren't ineos very successful across their sporting endeavors? May not be a roaring success in football yet, but it's not about instant success. It's about setting up for future improvement over time which seems to be his path.

Smell the coffee will you we could have had a FULL SALE debt free. Now we’ve got the fecking glazers remaining in control with SJR at 25%.

The club will plod along with this 25% nonsense with the Glazers still leeching off the club.

The club is a dinosaur and Sir Jim won’t solve anything

Alright Goldbridge.

I'm not denying that the Qatar bid was appealing, however they didn't meet the Glazers valuation so it's a bit pointless to talk about that now.

Once again, according to all the reports this will be a full sale and Ineps will tackle the debt.

BTW I've added some quotes from that vid to my last post if you're interested.

25 fecking percent. What a joke our owners are. We need riots and cancelled games.

Hahahahaha.

Who's prepared to get themselves arrested and have their careers ruined because they're desperate for state ownership?

You see this is what happens when you don't really stand for anything other than a potentially quicker route to success.

People aren't really prepared to do anything when your movement doesn't really stand for anything meaningful.

I can understand some people not wanting the Qataris owning the club with their human rights record and the worry that they are only sports washing, but Ratcliffe owning only 25% is a disaster. The Glazers are still in control and won't be leaving soon, the debt will continue to grow, the stadium and the training complex will continue to deteriorate, they won't develop the land around the stadium and will not be able to buy the world class players we need to win the Premier or the Champions League. United we continue to drop down the league until we will be lucky to qualify for Europe at all.

This is going to be voted on this week apparently. Jim better get some sort of plan out to the media/fans because as it stands this bid looks like a complete disaster.

Laughing at the disaster unfolding in front of our eyes. Are you sure you're a United fan?
Laughing at grown men losing their minds at this because we couldn't get state backing. At least Goldbridge does it for views and retweets

Shit news. Jimmy Brexit hasn’t done anything to suggest he will be any different to the existing cnuts, who somehow will manage to stay on further sucking the club dry.

From the article.

What might it mean for Manchester United’s transfer spend with their FFP so tight?

  • A change in ownership might have allowed for an injection of cash that would widen their FFP margins and offer more latitude in the January market — particularly if the Sheikh Jassim bid had been successful, given the Qatari royal’s promises of investment in the playing squad.
  • The INEOS bid has not made the same guarantees — not yet, at least. And with the Glazers remaining in place, as it stands, United will still have to take care to remain FFP compliant going forward.

What does it mean for the stadium?

  • The whole strategic review was sparked because the Glazers realised the enormous cost of renovating or rebuilding Old Trafford, which master-planners priced as potentially more than £2billion. Ratcliffe’s proposal does not answer that fundamental question. It may mean a further round of investment is required to generate funds for a meaningful stadium upgrade.

What would happen if the board vote against selling the minority stake?
  • It would be back to the drawing board, with Ratcliffe needing to figure out another bid.

Its control he's after.

Yeah but that’s easily reported as Jim doesn’t plan in stopping at 25 and wants to try and buy more in the future?
This really has to be in the contract for it to matter and it better be

Yep. When the opposition fans are happy, you know we are fecked.
The same opposition fans high five one another one forums when one of them says "VARchetser United have always had refs in their pocket." Opposition fans know feck all about the club.

For the folk saying that this is the worst possible outcome; nope, that would be the Glazers still holding complete ownership of the club.

We have folk, as we always do, jumping immediately to the worst case scenario to stir up drama. Why would a guy in his 70s offer to buy 25% of the club if that's all he's interested in? He's going to demand sporting control, he's going to want full ownership in the long term, he's going to want the club to compete for honours. He's not Avram and Joel Glazer, happy to collect dividends just as long as the sponsorship money doesn't dry up, with zero business acumen because Dad did all the work.

Very few people could outright buy the club without saddling more debt on to us. Just because some Sheikh waved his wallet at the club and said he'd build us a new stadium on the moon doesn't make Jim Ratcliffe as bad as the Glazers. Have you forgotten how shite the Glazers actually are?!
