Ineos: more of the same, debt, keeps the greedy impossible to flush and incompetent glazers on board. The club became a meme of their watch

Qatar: fresh start, will hire best in class and uphold main club traditions, will invest heavily in the community, no debt if they decide to leave, the only bidder out there who will clear the debt and invest their own money into the stadium and facilities that the glazers totally neglected.

I’ll burn in hell please.
How are you sure they will?

Ratcliffe wont keep Glazers on board. They'll keep a minority stake.

So from the most recent reports, not only are we not any closer to an end point, but we are in fact further away from one than we all thought we were over the last few weeks. Phenomenal.

Can this be the last time he is quoted in this thread, assuming again that he is wrong.

We all have to accept that we’re all desperate swines in this thread - but let’s keep a level of decorum and self-respect here by not getting excited over someone’s words who clearly is clueless.

Why? 99,8% of the posted info in this thread has proven wrong so far and is just gossip. Why should just he be excluded? He isn´t any worse than most of the UK media who posts pro Ratcliffe stuff all the time or the hundreds of twitter links to unknown persons around the world who no one has ever heard of. I´m not saying he is trustwhorthy. But if would be hilarious if he was correct.

That is not a promising update. Looks like the club's future will still be uncertain by the time the new season starts.

The Times story would seem to confirm the information from Daniel Harris that Ratcliffe has been meeting with Raine, lawyers and reps from the minority shareholders to "work through" their objections and the legal and regulatory issues. It sounds very much like at least some of the Glazer family prefer the Ineos bid and are working to get it over the line. Given that Qatar also appear to be confident (based on what we've heard from Bloomberg and Reuters, which will also be well-sourced) one can only assume that at least some of the Glazer family (and the minority shareholders) favour their bid, too. What we have here is an old fashioned family split. The Board are in deadlock. This could drag on for a very long time yet.

I fear we could still in in the early stages of what could be a very protracted process. @LawCharltonBest's prediction of 2024 may not be far wrong.

Ratcliffe isn’t winning the bid, unfortunately. I was listening to a podcast last week and someone who works in takeovers said that when Qatar go for something, they get it.

This is the British media sucking up to SJR. I’ve never been comfortable with the idea of Qatar really but it will happen.

Another wasted season without proper reinforcements due to this impending ownership uncertainty. Can you think of any other modern day owners who are as toxic and damaging as the Glazers? I can’t

How did you conclude a majority of our fan base want Qatar exactly?
So you decided to fact check every post I made, but you are not fussed about the original comment that wants people to burn in eternal fire because of football . But if you want to know where the majority comes from, sure, where ever you look on social media, talk with your Man Utd fans mates, polls on social media and here the majority is Qatar.

So not only fecking up the fans by keeping the leeches, he is happy with fecking ETH and his preparation for next season. If this brexiteer take over the club, we will swim in mediocrity forever.
I mean this is the weirdest way to interpret this. He can’t do anything to make regulatory issues go away. It’s more he’s saying he won’t walk away from the deal because of the delay.

The original comment is truly awful to say the least.

Now we've sorted that, lets get to the fact that you concluded that majority of United fans, 500 million of them are pro Qatar based on social media, talking to your mates, polls here and on social media.

Sounds legit.

Yeah but that's not what people who desperately want Qatar want to hear.

No but it did take Newcastle about a month to go through the fit and proper test.

I don't want Qatar and hope all who do burn in hell but if the companies house listing was genuine (have my doubts) then the same timeline would be happening that happened with Newcastle as that's when the fit and proper test started.

Morally better people

This is the British media sucking up to Sir James Arthur Ratcliffe FIChemE. I’ve never been comfortable with the idea of Qatar really but it will happen.
One a side note why is S J R changed to Sir James Arthur Ratcliffe FIChemE?

What's that about?

A fiery and crispy end to my life then :(

Instead of going to Switzerland for euthanasia they should get people to read through this shower of sh+te of a thread.

As it has been for the past 7 months.,there is no news.. nothing. Just wait and be patient.

It’s not a delay, let’s be honest with it

Ratcliffe's bid seems unworkable, I suspect most of the Glazers are happy to take the Qatari bid as it stands and a couple of others want more money. That's the split.

Grow up will ya

Sure, but why would they be concerned with that? It's unlikely to hold up any formalities given the front is still Nine Two Foundation.
If it’s coming from the state, it will not pass fit and proper test. At the very least, it poses another headache. The fact is Jassim doesn’t have the personal wealth to back his bid so where is he getting the money from or does he even have it?
Both bids have question marks.
It’s a fecking shitshow.

Pretty sure it’s been confirmed they’ll pass all tests.

Confirmed by who?
They will pass the test if they can prove it’s not state funded. But if it’s not state funded, where are they getting the money? Cause Jassim certainly does not have it.

Mate…

All I’m saying is this. Go spit roasted by Joel and Avram Glazer whilst Jim is filming wanking off.

Fair enough

Careful though I got a warning for my exaggerated turn of phrase seems like the mods are grumpy today.

When their old man died some of us saw this coming. Think of the mess if they stayed on and their children inherited the club. What a complete mess that will be.

Rub me up and down in marinade hunny

Glazers better not be stalling just so Ratcliffe can live his Boomer dream.

None of us really know of course, but I think everyone assumes that it's a 4 v 2 split (with Joel and Avram keener on remaining in some capacity and therefore presumably favouring the bid from Ineos). Joel and Avram will need to resolve whatever issues the class A shareholders have with the Ineos bid to get Ratcliffe's deal through, which, it seems, is being worked on. They are presumably reluctant to take the Qatari bid until the Ineos issues are resolved and they can present the Board with a proper choice, but equally, they don't want Qatar walking away, because if the Ineos problems cannot be resolved, the Qatari's are the only game in town.

It looks like a complete mess, which I suppose shouldn't be a surprise to any of us, given the dithering and incompetence that has characterised the Glazers' time in charge of the club.

Jim says nothing for months then starts rambling about talk of the footy down the pub with his mates

Stick to the other club you’ve already fecked up Jim you out of touch douchebag

exaggerated or not it’s pretty horrible stuff and a warning is fully justified

I don’t want Qatar ownership either but feck me, can you really blame fans for wanting a rich owner after the last 20 years?

a lot of people are struggling at the moment, and football is an escape from that.. if they don’t have the bandwidth to be concerned about the morality of it, so what? I don’t think it’s a big deal in the grand scheme of things

Jim wouldn't be delisting the club.

Bloomberg and Reuters I am sure reported on information they thought was solid, but with each passing day it appears less solid, even if Qatar end up winning.

With regards to 5b dollars bid, its possible that is the amount the glazers receive.
5b dollars is roughly £3.9b
£3.9b is roughly 69% of £5.6b
Which is inline with some previous reports on the bid value.
I wonder how much commission The Raine lot will pocket? Even if this sale falls through they must be in line for a pretty cent and if I were their chairman I’ll be starting to put some fecks into the Glazers in a very cute yet forceable manner because a lot of time and money has been spent on this fiasco and it is about time it was drawn to a conclusion.

This will pass the test because of SJ Father also being involved and he has does have the funds to buy the club
