Club Sale | It’s done!

In 5/10 years of Sir Jim, people will regret welcoming him without any questioning as we’re hovering around midtable still in debt whilst Newcastle and City are hoovering up trophies.
So you think he'd be unequivocally worse than the Glazers? Seems highly unlikely.

Who is Reuters and Bloomberg? Never heard either mentioned on Sky Sports or by the respected football journalists on twitter. I call bullshit.

How would our strategy change given our limited funds due to FFP ?
Paying off the debt apparently adds 50m to the Kitty
I don’t think it would bar the extra 50M, we just won’t go on a spending spree like most of the fanbase worldwide would expect. FFP has meant that we can’t really spend that much more

We would need to sell, apparently we can spend up to £300-400M if we sell a few players for decent prices. But it hinges on us selling of course

Wonder which Qatari club is going to buy Maguire and Martial in a double swoop for £100m hahah

It'd be funny if ironically Bloomberg and Reuters are getting leaks by Raine or the Glazers because they don't feel like reaching out to the British journos

For anyone wondering why the price is up lately - its because of a raised future outlook (which in this case likely means a presumption of an imminent sale since the stock would probably soar into the 30s within minutes).

I don’t think it means that. Raised future outlook in this context means that the company has given a higher guidance for revenue (£640m) for the whole year as compared to £580m. I hope you are right and the sale is imminent.

It's getting more real now. In an ideal world I did not want Manchester United to become a state-owned club but we've been run into the ground by parasitic owners and this was pretty much the only way to wipe out our debt and give us a secure future.

Where’s the guy from the times? Waiting for him to confirm Bloombergs info is nonsense.

If Bloomberg are reporting that Qatar are confident, then I would take it as read that Qatar are indeed confident - Bloomberg are not in the business of making things up.

Qatar's confidence could be misplaced of course, and Ineos may still be confident, too.

Either way, I think we can all agree that this just needs to end and end soon.

It is obvious you are joking, but it is genuinely bemusing to see people on other platforms trying to discredit the reports on this basis. :wenger:

Get ready

 It’s going to be such a painfully vague word salad where he tries to reference these new developments back to something he has said at some point ignoring he also said “however the opposite is also a possibility”.

Was it Forbes who reported that United and Qatar were entering exclusive negotiations a few weeks ago? Seems like there might’ve been a major breakthrough in those negotiations and we’re not far off from a resolution now based on this Bloomberg news.

Ben Jacobs about to announce the chicken I had for lunch has given me salmonella and I have one week to live

It was Reuters, and believe it or not it was only last week. Goes to show how long it seems to be dragging on for.

We’ve had the same reports/tweets for months that the Qatari’s were confident of winning the bidding war. INEOS too.

I would be getting excited with this recent tweet but seen these similar sort of tweets on numerous occasions now so not going to get my hopes up too much

Like you said in your last sentence, we definitely need this to come to a close now. It’s dragged on way too long now.

And we were told this was a nothing story.
Another odd win for NickSpeed by the way. All he needed was a bit of style with his mad ramblings and he could have made a name for himself
I was thinking the same  Man just lacked the style and social media nous.

Dinesh Nair.

Definitely from Kerala. If I can get his home address I can confirm the news with his father or mother..
@girish is probably already on the case

In few hours some journos will announce that there's actually no preferred bidder yet. Rinse and repeat.

Lawton and Dickinson from The Times will tweet soon that Ratcliffe is still a firm favourite to acquire Man United, like usual :)

Has that random TikTok match day ticket got any sources of the takeover? or I can't believe these trash reports from Reuters and Bloomberg

Howard Nurse: New Newton Heath ownership regime rumoured to change the club's name to Manchester United.

They better not be changing the kits from green and yellow! And getting a stadium with those fangled chair things for people to sit on!
