I appreciate it's their money, but I think a Qatari bid to pay the Glazers what they want will be met with overwhelming approval, even if it sets projects back such as a new stadium.

£6b bid and this should be over once and for all.

Whichever way it goes it just needs sorting now. It's an absolute embarrassment

How do we view the Glazers (mostly Avram) attending the cup finals this year?

Obviously, we haven't had many finals to contest of late, but the Glazers weren't present in previous years from what I recall.

Avram (and Bryan) showing support for a future United under their ownership, or taking in the last glory moments of United before they sell?

I get the feeling Avram and Joel were possibly always there it's just front page news now due to the takeover meaning clicks from desperate fans.

Signaling an attachment to the club to make it seem like they're not desperate to sell and thus drive the price up a bit.

Don't think it'll have any impact though.

I think most supporters know that the Glazers have 0 attachment to the club.

If they had the slightest attachment, we wouldn't be in the state we're in now, especially with the stadium pretty much falling apart and the sorts. They don't, and never really have, cared about the club. They care about the bragging rights of owning one of the biggest sports team in the world. Thats pretty much it for them i think

They're not signaling to the fans. Obviously they don't give a shit what we think. They're signaling to the potential buyers.

Like I said, I don't think it'll have any impact, but IMO that's their thought process.

I think it'll be a case of they'll give the Glazers what they want, and then mask it with something like "The commercial oppertunities and the sponsorship opportunities far outweigh the price we paid" etc etc. They'll cover up the fact they bent over for the Glazers in some way or other. Still, as long as the Glazers are gone, thats all that matters. I wouldn't mind SJR buying us, but his plan of keeping the Glazers around is really putting me off
If it is a state bid as many think… They can make it back very quickly by charging INEOS extra for liquid gas.

I'd be surprised if they didn't attend the previous ones.

My attempts to research this are, as I perhaps should've seen coming, simply turning up companies in the Wembley area offering to fix my windows.

Surely we will hear SOMETHING this week? Even if it’s just Keegan or someone saying what they think the likely next step is

I mean is this a unlimited auction ? These guys are never satisfied just accept and get the feck out.

We are getting left behind in the transfer market already.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Glazers let this rumble on throughout June to try make potential new owners twitchy with the summer transfer market.

Potentially looking to squeeze an extra 250 - 500 million out. Absolute parasites!

You'd like to think the potential buyers will have the cojones to set their own firm deadline to avoid that happening.

Most likely the buyers do have other things they could do with their £5bn.

I think it will go quiet now until our transfer business is done, isn't there some kind of transfer embargo during takeovers?
Not necessarily. There's usually some continuity of ongoing business operations during takeovers - I'm sure we have an established budget for transfers that's already been communicated with all parties during the diligence process.

At this point I genuinely don’t know what the feck is going on now or when we are going to hear any clear signs of news on what these leeches are planning to do.

You could literally have given this thread a miss for one month and then come back on it and be totally unsurprised that there have been no major developments during that month you avoided it.

It’s just been a massive circus from the get-go.

Well if that's the case and we go and sign, Mount, Kane, Costa, Kim Nin-jae. and a couple of others, having been told we're skint all year, and will be limited in the transfer market this summer, then I think we'll all know what will be happening with the takeover anyway.

We fecking better. Honestly, if we reach this time tomorrow I'll be nervous enough, the thought of another week of radio silence is painful.

The fact there has been zero reports from any reputable journos from the Qatari camp imo says it all that it looks like Jim Glazer has won. Last time something like this happened there was murmers of the Qataris coming back in but since the FT article is has been radio silence pretty much.

@Berbaclass Boss, any chance you can PM the twitter spaces you follow? Tried clicking on your profile but since I'm a newb I dont have the privileges to pm you directly.

Someone told me they saw some Qatari sauce in ASDA but when I got there the shelf was empty and they only had ketchup.

Mods hate him! Redcafe poster finds way to share dumbest twitter gossip imaginable using this one weird trick.

Exactly that we have set up a revolving credit line of £200-300m and if we buy two players for £60m and £60m we don’t immediately pay 120m pounds on completion of transfer, I’m pretty sure the fees are amortised over 5 years so we would have to make £24m payments to the two selling clubs this year plus the Agents fees. However we will need to sell Henderson, Mctominay and Maguire to really increase the budget to a £250/300m

I can vouch for this
