The 2nd paragraph is where I am. The 3 options of the Glazer's, Qatar or Ratcliffe are all shit but Ratcliffe is the least shit, not being the Glazer's and not a state using United as a sportswashijg project.

Whoever takes the club over should continue to be scrutinised and generally opposed by the fans because they're bad people, so many fans are gagging for Mbappe and shiny signings that if it's Qatar there will be so many cheerleaders embarrassing themselves to support them.

The 'everybody body knows those supporting the Qatar bid are only doing so because they want shiny new signings' attitude is a convenient way of not engaging with the actual arguments of the majority of people who want Qatar.

I was 100% Ratcliffe right up until it was revealed he wouldn't clearing the debt and would actually be taking on more debt to buy the club (no matter on whose books it sits it will be the clubs revenues that service it). That also means no investment in infrastructure, and now the possibility of the 2 most visible leeches remaining and leeching off us for a few more years.

In an ideal world Ratcliffe would be offering to buy the club outright, pay off the debt, finance a new stadium and then leave football people to run the club, but that isn't an option, so I'm supporting the Qatar bid. I don't think they'll come in and spend £500m on players, my expectations are that they'll clear the debt, redevelop Old Trafford, the surrounding area and Carrington and then basically let the club live off it's own wealth generation. Run properly and debt free we don't need any outside investment, we can compete on our own.

Ineos runs with debt. The idea Ratcliffe was ever going to use the funds of a company that had its own debt to service to clear up ours was always fecking idiocy.

But we were told "we don't know that isn't going to be the case" Really? Yes. Yes we do.

This is going to run and run, what would be hysterical now is if SJ actually bid £6bn or $7.45bm and made it public with a 7 day window for the Glazers to actually decide or SJ and 92 Foundation pull out?

There are strong rumours in the Middle East that this is about to happen, I still think even then the parasites will ask for more, that’s $5.145bn between all 6 siblings and a windfall for the other shareholders who would put pressure on the Glazers to sell at that price?

None of us want to see any Glazer at another final like the woman’s fa cup today, it just makes every united fan sick in their stomach, time to just F…Off and the sooner the better, they really are like a bad smell that lingers and never ever leaves the room!

Unfortunately none of our ranting will make one iota of a difference to their decision to stay or leave. I’m past caring it’s time to just let the process whatever it might be simple Fulfil itself to its natural conclusion.
My gut says the Qataris have always planned on spending whatever it takes to buy the club. Now if they were stupid they would have gone in all guns blazing with a bid for £8bn and wrapped it up. Funnily enough I don’t think they are stupid and I do think that the money they have buys a top class financial team who will have planned this process to the nth degree.

I think the most likely thing is that they always planned to find the breaking point of their competition before adding just a little more and getting the deal done.

The fact that Ratcliffe is having to be creative in his bidding tells you that we are very much at the limit of what he can offer. So I fully expect to see the Qataris muscle him out and be left as the highest bidders.

At this point I’ld be happy with either owner. Regardless of what happens and who wins out, I hope all the fans get behind the new owner. I’ve no time for all this morals sh1t. It’s a cut-throat world and both parties have their strengths and weaknesses. If you’re waiting for the perfect owner I suggest you go and support another club!
Exactly. If Qatar do or dont get the club is that going to make any difference in the world politics? This sportswashing garbage I keep hearing; does anyone think oh the Qataris own Utd so everything they do is alright. Where is the slating of City in the press? We live by different morals and put Western values on non Western countries. Whatever happens unless their govt want to change policy, owning a football club doesnt mean a jot.

OK I was obviously being a bit mischievous with the Mbappe bit (although a massive chunk of those supporting them are primarily because of the potential big signings) but why are people turning up to games with Qatar flags? It's happened multiple times now. Stop twerking for any of these arseholes, particularly for a state who want to use the club to launder their reputation.

I think that United had been blessed/cursed by the nicest home crowd in the world, a huge fan base each with our way of discussing football and 2 decades of being managed by a genius which meant that we completely protected from the complexity and the vulture attitude modern football had become. Thus we as a fan base tend to be naïve, easily pressured to give the club/manager time because we're 'better' then that (god knows how many 3 years plans this club had been into) and difficult to take a unified action. We're more busy fighting one another then to target the real enemy.

I have nothing against people flagging Qatari flags in the stadium just as I have nothing against those who come out with INEOS in or Ratcliffe in banners. They are certainly better then negative slogans like No to Qatar or No to Ratcliffe. Ideally though we should decide on some red lines and we stick to them. In my opinion the fans shouldn't accept anything that doesn't result to Full Takeover and Zero Debt.

Finally just because one is pro Qatar doesn't mean that he thinks that they are perfect. I am pro Qatar bid and as owners I'd give them a 6/10. Needless to say that if they buy the club and they mismanage it I would be the first to complain about it

My mind is unable to digest how Jim RatCliffe is ahead of Sheikh Jasim who clearly has more financial resources and better plans. It is just so dirty and corrupt…

It could just be down the Ratcliffe letting the Glazers have something as opposed to Qatar wanting them out completely.

'Ark at Noam Chomsky here.

Still no news of a change from the Qatari end makes me think we're pretty close to Ratcliffe being confirmed as the preferred bidder.

Hope things can progress quickly enough from there that it's not too long before we reach the point we can account for it in our plans regarding personnel for next season.

United stand quoting reports from a Saudi sports media about Sheikh Jassim preparing a £6bn bid?

This always mystifys me. We’re all saying that jassim is just a vehicle for a Qatar state bid but is this actually the case? None of us really know for sure and while I’m sure it is a Qatar government backed bid at least we all pretty much know what Ratcliffe has in terms of wealth be it personally or through Ineos, it is at least more tangible and he’s actually wealthier than any other owners in the prem if you don’t count city or Newcastle.

This rumour started from a United fan pretending to be an ITK, though he had "Saudi sports journalist" or something in his bio. If you scrolled far enough in his feed you could see he is #GlazerOut and supported Jassim's bid on many occasions. It's BS.

pretty concerning. A match going fan with a Qatar fan at OT and some pro freedom of speech pro democracy pro Ratcliffe fan tried taking it off him

Bellends on both sides of this argument, the guy who nicked it turns up at some point in that twitter tread.

I do like how the Rainbow Devils banner is in full view above. Kind of fitting.

Only now at £6bn because Joel and Avram will play the ‘we want to stay now’ card !

The current Twitter noises ars saying that Qatar has upped the bid and has given the Glazers (all 6 glazers) a premium like JR was offering them after 2-3 years but up front.

They are also suggesting that the Ratcliffe bid was to be paid over multiple years.

Make of it what you will.

This would be my guess too. Also, I do not think that the leaks are coming from Ratcliffe's camp as they are not helping him in any way. Instead, it looks like it is the leeches who are behind all those leaks trying to force Qatari's to up their offer.

Fecking molefaced cnut

Did you really expect him to stop and answer a random question? The guys a c*nt but hes not going to stop and give a world exclusive to a random question backstage after a match.

When an announcement comes, it will be in a press confrence or press statement. I see this in the same way as reporters who stand outside 10 downing street every day shouting questions to the PM or anyone going inside expecting an answer.

Saying anything before anything is official could seriously jepordise the deal.

Me personally? No I just wanted to call him a cnut if that's okay with you! :)
