Club Sale | It’s done!

It’s the club’s money but the Glazers decide how much of it is spent. We have no idea what prospective owners will want, they might want a freeze on new signings, they might allow things to go as being planned or have their own ideas. They might not be advanced enough to have any kind of say or impact.

Why would the Glazer freeze on new signings when it's not their money and doesn't affect them at all? There are context where I understand your point, some teams rely on the owners pockets but it's not the case at United, so why would they do something that has no benefits to gain from?

I said a new owner might want a freeze on signings, if they’re about to commit 5bn plus they might not want money being spent on what is effectively a credit card or no players they don’t want.

Sorry I misread it. I have never seen anything like that.

Let’s say in previous round Jassim and Radcliffe both bid 5b pounds. As a owner, what else are you going to do?

I am not trying to defend their actions, I would like to know what people on here would do if it was your company.
I haven't seen many reports both parties have bid exactly the same amount neck and neck. I have seen countless reports the Glazers want 6b and were underwhelmed by the bids, and lack of bidding war.

Can’t wait for the day these rats go back down to their sewer and infect somebody else with their fecking rabies. Absolutely hate them!

The only good news is that the Glazers intend to sell. Else they would just accept the Elliott's bid and sent the rest to feck off

We will be lucky if new owner comes in June.

Who cares. A Glazer-free United is a fantastic prospect. We've been waiting 18 years. If it doesn't happen until June, or September or December, it will still be worth the wait. If a lost summer window is the price paid, then, considering the bigger picture here, it will be well worth it.

I agree. But it is still annoying. First bid, delay, second bid, delay, third bid....

Great attitude. Reminds me of the ones calling for OGS to get time because eventually, in some other time, things would be better.

Proper Brexit logic.

It will all depend on how far along the process is, the more advanced it gets the less the club will be run business as usual.

Like you said the Glazers don’t and won’t give a shit if they think sale is going ahead and from their perspective the best thing to do will be nothing in that case.

Delays are to be expected in a sale of this magnitude, especially when one party (ie the Glazers) are known for their extreme greed. They will no doubt be highly motivated to squeeze out every last dollar.

Again, just be patient and focus on the bigger picture a Glazer-free United might actually be on the horizon, finally.

They're a passionate lot. What's the issue?
I don't get it. Everyone here loves to complain about the Glazers, but whenever a group actually tries to organize something against the Glazers, Caf posters end up ridiculing the shit out of the organizers. Every single time!

As long as this gets done before the pre-season tour starts, then fine.

It seemed ambitious to have it all done and dusted by the end of March anyway. I was thinking more by the end of this season, which is early June.

Things can move unexpectedly fast just as much as things can move unexpectedly slow.

What’s the point of a third bid? Has anything changed since the 2nd to make bidders change their offer? They need to be in negotiations now, not pissing about with new offers when they’ve not put anything new on the table (as far as we know). Must be hoping that Qatar, or a mysterious unnamed bidder, will just slam-dunk them with a final bid.

Anyone knows how long it usually takes for a full sale to be finalized once a bid has been accepted?
No one can 'know', these things don't happen twice a day. It's all unique and not comparable.

It's a bit of a case of "how long is a piece of string". Chelsea took a month. Newcastle took 15 months. In reality, it would probably be closer to the former than the latter, though.

I also want the Glazers gone at any cost, but taking till December or even next year is not a good prospect.
Every year they stay, is another year that MCFC pull away from us that bit further.
The sooner we get new owners who are focused on getting us winning, the better.

The idea of taking as much time as they need, is a very bad prospect.

I bought another block of butter tonight. That’s two blocks of butter I have bought in the time it’s taken the Glazers to sell one football club. I’m going to die of heart disease before the club is sold.
