Di Maria is one of the hardest working player I have ever seen

The lad deserves the utmost of praises. I never expected him to be up for this level, always thought he would be Quaresma Mk II. Shows how biased we football fans are when underrating opposition players.

He's been a revelation since Ancelotti moved him into the midfield 3. On the face of it the connection
Coentrao/Marcelo - Di Maria - Ronaldo is just extraordinary.

Superficially, you'd say the combination was impossible - too selfish, too attacking, too indisciplined. But Ancelotti has found in Di Maria the glue to make it all work together.

You can't help but wonder if the same couldn't be true for Argentina as well.

Without sounding to Scouse like, it would be a injustice if this Madrid team weren't crowned the best team in Europe.

At the time of his sell, who thought he'd get this good ? Who thought the money paid for him wasn't crazy ? Analyzing things in hindsight is pointless.
were not just talking about Ronaldo we have been run terribly over the last few years selling players for little to nothing

If we get through I'm very pleased it's not my job to work out how to stop Madrid. We can park the bus but Madrid have excellent headers of the ball and Ronaldo can outjump pretty much anyone. Combined with Modric to thread passes through.

I wonder who barca fans will want to win in the final. Us or the team led by the Dark lord Mou? Probably Mou in the end, if they beat atletico

if you scored in your 15 mins of complete dominance in the first leg then the tie would have been completely different.

Well, that can be said about almost any game ever played, I guess. Doesn't change the fact that Pep's decisions and tactics recently have been nothing but retarded.

Also, we never dominated. We held on to the ball. That's it. Domination implies forcing the opponent to play the way you want and pressuring them. We did nothing of the sort, quite the opposite.

It isn´t at all mate. We are Sporting fans, we know what we are talking about. Every Sporting fan says he was a terrible deal. We really didn´t take any advantage of his football ability to help us win a championship and the money wasn´t that good if you compare with Porto deals with much worse players. It was a stupid deal for a low fee considering his talent and the interest he was attracting. You were lucky we had an old senile fool as a President.

1979 was the last time we lost with a goal difference of 4 goals at home, for those that were asking. 0:4 against Bielefeld.

I really don't see Chelsea stopping Real, even if they park the bus. Real will get through somehow. Their shots from distance will be better than Stevie G.
I really would not count against Mourinho in CL final against Madrid. Both sides hate each other now and he would be up for it like anything.

Whilst Bale is doing very well at Madrid, he really needs to wipe that shit off of his chin.

I disagree with this type of logic because it will always lead to regrets. You're only hurting yourself thinking like that.

Then you're right, worse thing for me is not investing intelligently the money received from Ronaldo's sell.

Investing? It was used to pay salaries. Cmon Kouroux, you are one of my favourite posters in here but you don´t know what you are talking about. With Pinto da Costa you would have payed more than what you payed for Anderson. Sporting boards from the past are known for their Moyes level incompetence.

Terry is back for us tomorrow. Cech in line for a return possibly at weekend.

you could see the potential he had from a mile away it was clear to see he was not just another player he looked like he had a huge future ahead of him and god has he proved that

Oh i agree with that but it just depresses me that we can´t really rentabilize our academy talents. I hope we rip you off with Carvalho

Makes me cry when United fans say they have been ripped off for 80 millions. We really have been run by the most incompetent fools ever.
12m for an 18 year old was a great price. 80m at that time which exceeded the WC fee by 20m or so was also a great price.

I wasn't talking about Sporting with that comment sorry but Man Utd when he left for Madrid  This is where I think we got confused, two different subjects.
I don't talk about thing I know nothing of and that is the case with Sporting.

Hehe. They're playing Lionel Ritchie's "Easy" over the speaker system at the Allianz. Couldn't have put it better myself.

I already explained my reasoning. I can´t consider it a great price. Neither does any Sporting fan. He had an amazing potencial and carried a very big hype since the youth ranks. With a President like Pinto da Costa and with the level of interest, you would have payed alot more no doubt.

Ah alright. Understood mate.
