Christopher Samba going back to Anzhi for £12m

Idiot who has shit all over his own career. Yeah he's earned plenty of money, up to a certain level, you have to aspire to more.

He's played for two teams in England and one team in Russia in the past years. The team in Russia isn't competing for the title and both the teams he played for in England got relegated.

Now what possible heights could he reach that are higher than earning 100k+ per week? He's going back to Russia because that's the only place where he'll keep on earning that salary. Makes perfect sense from his perspective.

Now QPR and Anzhi on the other hand...

He could have a more decent career, I remember that certain PL teams were getting interested in him even the season before their relegation but he preferred the easy cash and fecking off to a semi racist country.
I mean playing for any PL team is a big opportunity in itself and surely (at that time) Samba would have found a decent team. He'd have played in one of the best leagues in the world and still have earned a lot of money. So yeah for me he's a complete fecking idiot

He would never in his life get that amount of money elsewhere. It's way more than a 100k per week that he got there. Harry said he took a paycut to join QPR. Just think about that. At the very best he'd get 60-70k at Sunderland or Fulham or Stoke or some other mid-to-low table club.

He was 28 when he left for Russia. That's not many years that he had left. Especially if he had stuck around in the PL which is more physical demanding than the Russian league. It's a very sensible move for him. Almost doubled his weekly paycheck for at least a few years. How could you turn that down? It's still the same job at the end of the day.

However you'll try to spin it, it's still a waste for me. Just like Eto'o moving to Anzhi was completely stupid, when a move is just based on money from certain players who are still young and good enough to compete in Europe's best leagues, I think it's a complete waste of talent. About him almost doubling his wages, you make it sound like he's a normal folk who struggles in life, who can't make ends meet. Poor Samba ...

It was not exactly a sidewards move either. Blackburn are rubbish, and atleast Anzhi are competing for their league, and actually in a european competition playing some decent teams.

That move was a no brainer really if there was no other interested parties.

Credit to BeardedGenius. Always a good laugh.

No. Remember? 'A Hero will Rise'?

Bought for 20m. Then 2 seasons on loan at Juve and Milan, with Liverpool paying his wages. Then had to sell him to Fiorentina at cut price because his wages was too high. But compared to Suarez, yes, he's still a hero ;)
