Christoph Kramer

So they have to sign another German and it has to be Kramer?

I like him but they have better options for squad depth. We may not
I don't know. I'd rather see him as a regular starter at a 2nd tier club than a squad player at a top club, but I could see him as an interesting tactical option for Real.

Kramer would be a great replacement for Khedira. They don't really have a defensive midfielder, and he'd be a great option in their squad.

Irralamendi isn't going to make it at Madrid it looks like. Yes I've spelt his name wrong probably, but you all know who I mean. If Madrid take Kramer we should look at him.

not good enough imo.

He definitely looked good enough for Sociedad and the Spanish U-21. Really impressed me while playing for the latter as the deepest midfielder. He'd be an interesting option for us.

Madrid have let some fantastic players go over the years. Everyone talks about Sneijder and Robben, but Callejon is 23 in 47 for Napoli in Serie A (all from the wing and I don't think he really takes pens), Cambiasso was a beast for Inter and people seem to love Garay.

yes, but at Real he is pretty much useless everytime i saw him compared to his previous level. A bit harsh maybe, but i always thought he didnt do enough after the move, like he made it already. His off the field anthics dont help either.

Which player are you talking about as regards off the field antics?

He's not a defensive midfielder. He's a central midfielder who will make tackles and run up and down the pitch. But similarly to Ander, if you stick him in front of the defence as your insurance option there will still be gaps. He's more of a Fletcher than a Carrick/Blind

A fine piece of reporting here:

Manchester United have reportedly joined the race to sign German midfielder Christoph Kramer as Louis van Gaal looks to strengthen his midfield region in January.

Kramer has managed to attract the attention of a number of top clubs following his impressive performances with Borussia MönchengladbachReuters
The 23-year-old, who is currently on a two-year loan at Borussia Mönchengladbach, has managed to attract the attention of a lot of clubs with his impressive performances of late.

And according to talkSPORT, the Red Devils have also joined the race for the £8 million-rated defender.

Which is he then?
