I agree it’s not somewhere we really need to look at, especially if it not an a real immediate improvement on what we have.
Pulisic won't join us.... We are in for Willian by the looks of it.

He would? Where exactly? Over Son, Dele or Eriksen, Pulisic has a lot of potential but hasn’t put the figures up anywhere near them 3 over the course of a season.
Granted, he hasn't had the most consistent season. For me though, the kid just has it. The technique, speed, decision making and most importantly; he seems to have a good mentality and commitment to the game. I would love to see us sign this kid.
Funny how you don’t mention Lamela, but poch literally will not drop if he’s fit. I agree though pulisic could not replace any of those.
You could replace Lamela with a garden gnome.
Lamela has a place in the squad I don’t mind him, he isn’t the player we thought he would be but as a squad player I have no problem with him, but he shouldn’t be starting ahead of Son.
I actually rate him as a grafter. He’s kinda the winger equivalent, albeit not as good, of Firmino for you. Just he seems to push Son out the side who I would happily have here.
It’s honestly as if we were sold his twin brother, at Roma he looked like he could be a top player 10-20 goals a season, pinging in lovely long shots. That appears to have gone, by yeah he is a busy little player, with an eye for a pass.
He is nowhere near good enough and would get no playtime under Jose. Leagues below the likes of Martial and Rashford as a player and they're not even getting much.
He seems mint.
I sort of think Mourinho might like him even if his level wasn't high enough to start for us yet. He works hard and is a very aggressive dribbler. Could see him starting on the right but fans complaining about his performances like Cristiano or Fletcher in that role, apparently pleasing the manager enough to get time there, except that Fergie liked to bring in talented youth more than Mourinho does.
Pulisic is not the player we need this summer. He has been very mediocre for Dortmund this season, as could be expected at his age. We have tried signing some of the very best Dortmund stars (Mkhi and Kagawa), and look how they turned out. Dembele, having shown far more than Pulisic at his time in Dortmund, has not been a success in Barcelona. I get the hype of Pulisic being an American and all, but his nationality is his most special trait. I would rate him among the top 50 talents in football, but nothing more than that. Dortmund supporters would party all summer if someone blows their war chest on him. We already have Rashford and Martial who are currently better than Pulisic and struggling for game time.
right now he's just a great talent playing in a system which fits him, who stagnated this season. Not a starting material. We also have two inconsistent younsgters in Rashford and Martial who are not worse, you can't develop three kids at once, if anything we need a proven winger like Costa/Willian. I think there is simply too much hype about some kids who breakthrough in attacking teams. Let him stay for another season or two but I honestly think Pulisic is a bit overrated. There is no guarantee some kids make it but for instance I am much more positive about Sancho who if stays injury free make it at the very top level..
He's be wise to stick around Dortmund for another two years before jumping at the big money move. But I think he'll accept an offer this summer and it could ultimately derail his progress, permanently or temporarily.
He's been MOTM against City and Liverpool in both pre-season wins for Dortmund and has been responsible for all 4 Dortmund goals in both those games. He's looking like he has reached the next level where he is ready to become a big name in the game. Would be an awesome signing for whoever can get him

Given our current starting right winger is Mata or Lingard, we’d be foolish to pass on Pulisic if he were available for a reasonable fee.
Not better than Martial or Rashford? Please. Martial has lost his head as far as United is concerned and needs to be sold now to recoup the money spent to get him here. Rashford is better on the left or center. Lingard and Pulisic could own that RW spot.

He looked good but in both games the American refs just gifted him two of the softest pens for the guys who bought the tickets I guess..

I can see us possibly doing a player exchange - Martial for Pulisic? Depends on whether Jose feels Pulisic is ready at 19 years old though.

Indeed. Though I think with Jose it will be similar case to what we witnessed with Mkh or are witnessing with Martial or like Rashford's case who I think is starting to progress sideways.
There were/ are many options which just as an investment perspective made or make so much sense for the RW problem with great footballing abilities though the tactics And philosophy Jose most of the time employs on the pitch don't make them good options while looking at it with truly footballing perspective. The problem is simple; Mourinho’s approach to attacking play hinges on his players to actively solve problems on the pitch, open up deep-blocks and create chances through simply their individual quality and creativity which young players like Pulisic who are developing Mostly struggle with. Even the very best do struggle with it at times which we saw with Sanchez whos transition as a United player has not been so smooth.
If the new coaching team Mourinho has employed with Mourinho is flexible enough to implement a better attacking structure where these Flair players can get better support and structure while attacking then Fine Pulisic will be a great option but if We see the same Philosophy what we saw last season with players free to do what ever they like on the pitch and find the solution than just from the footballing perspective I see Pulisic Struggling as well here as wide players needs serious work rate and vision to perform both duties under these tactics to succeed and thus Willian would make more sense as his natural game suits those needs and prove to be what is required for now.
I'd love to be proved Wrong though.

I think he’ll end up playing for either us or Liverpool. Might as well beat the scousers to the punch and save ourselves some dough. His fee will only go higher.
He should play this season at Dortmund and then perhaps make a move next summer.
Perhaps buy him and loan him to Dortmund for a year?
