I never gor the hype with him. He's slow and he tries for spectacular all the time and it very rarely works. I feel he'd just be another Sanchez for us.
He's also extremely insecure about his hair, and as he balds more his confidence will drop as well, and he'll become plain shite. Same as Rooney.

27 years old and one of the most consistent players of the last half decade. I don't know why anyone would be against this.
Levy has already fecked up twice by pricing us out of moves for Dier and Rose for a £100m combined if reports are to be believed. Both players wouldn't fetch anywhere close to what we offered for them at this moment in time. And I don't think Levy will want to make the same mistake with Eriksen now, with time running out in the window and the player looking de-motivated.

Wonder if that is playing a part? Because I'm certain they wish they'd just sold us Dier a few years ago when we offered them huge money. Especially since he's turned out to be nothing special.

I've read people say Levy is a difficult person to negotiate with, but I don't think that is the case. Its clear he will cost a rival (such as United) more money because it would weaken Spurs and make the rival stronger. I think any CEO would do that, not just Levy. The question is whether United would be willing to pay that additional amount and how much Levy is willing to risk losing a fee if Eriksen does not leave this window and instead leaves on a free. It will be interesting to see what happens.

Eriksen will technically be a replacement for Herrera in some ways. And that is if we play a 4-3-3.
If we play 4-2-3-1, he will definitely start as a 10 and switch with RW during the game. Or vice versa. Basically given freedom to roam around.
Poch played him in midfield/RW numerous times and having played multiple positions, he suits our system perfectly.
Eriksen with Pogba and McT would be a very formidable midfield and might even bring out the best in both Pogba and McT.
Completely agree but the only thing playing on my mind is that why would a manager like Poch want to replace him with Bruno/Dybala? Surely he’d improve any team

I agree, but last season and so far in this window, I think their constant anti-united rhetoric has been very hard to take.
I'm not quite sure how I feel about it yet, but my concern would be he's not exactly the pull your socks up Keane esque midfielder we've been missing and I'm not sure how a midfield with him and Pogba in it would function. I'd still rather have him than not though.
Doubt he will renew at Spurs and he’s in his last year of his contract so Levy will want to get some money for him.
Eriksen is pure class surely no one here needs convincing of that? Much more of a sure thing that Bruno or Dybala.

For reference, he's only 11 months older than Pogba. But technically and creatively, they're about equal.
Where Pogba is better is his strength and dribbling. It allows him to physically dominate midfields in quick bursts, if it ever comes to that.
Where Eriksen is better is his pressing. Rather than bullying in short bouts, he's a perpetual motion machine who never gives his opposite number a rest.
Generally speaking, players with high stamina decline more slowly than player who produce burts of power. The 11 month difference in their ages probably won't be worth much in the long run.
If Eriksen is our long term replacement for Pogba, I think we'll end up ahead of the game. £150m for the latter will give us a chance to build a more balanced midfield on top of everything else. That should make us stronger overall, despite the two being of similar quality.

HA didn’t see the other guys post. Spurs’ 5th best player? He’s arguably their best, perhaps 2nd behind Kane. Closely followed by Son.
Can't see Juve, Real or PSG move for Eriksen. If Levy declines our offer, if there is any, he will have to settle for much less after our window closes on Thursday.
Kane is clearly ahead of the rest. No debate for me, and for most Spurs fans I'd imagine.
Then I'd probably have Eriksen 2nd .. but Vertonghen and Son are close, closer to Eriksen than Eriksen is to Kane imo.

Eriksen is not renewing he wants a big pay out for his last contract, Levy will not go high enough and break their wage structure, also why Dybala is a none starter for Spurs, can see Barca if they shift Coutinho etc... or PSG if they shift Neymar, there are not that many options open to players who want to earn £200k+ each week, fortunately we are one, but still not happening, no way
