I'm sure over a similar number of games he scored and assisted more than he did here than there.
Not what he was signed for and he certainly did what he was signed for better at Chelsea.

What's that? Not what he was signed for and he certainly did what he was signed for better at Chelsea.
16 if you didn't join people's favorite club as a 15-year old.In the caf, once you're past about ~23 you might as well retire
What's that?
You talking about Matic or Mata? Because I replied to someone talking about Mata. I wouldn't be talking about goals and assists if I was talking about Matic.Press from deep, break up play, monster his opposite man, win the ball back, bring control at the base of midfield. Pretty obvious that was his game and what he was signed to do.
Was Eriksen a truly ever a world class player?
I look at his career at Spurs & it doesn't surprise me that he hadn't exactly moved to a bigger club earlier either.
Definitely better than what we have but I'd worry about overhyped players who were able to be good players for good teams but not much else on top.
Mata has been decent to good with us. Has just regressed a lot in the last year or so and we also played him out of position a bit. Has been one of the few players that can keep their head held high during this time of pain at United.Idk why but I feel he'd become Mata 2.0 and regress with us.
I've got a Sanchez feeling about him. He hasn't been great for the last while (similar to Sanchez in his last few months at Arsenal). What worries me is that these are signs of a permanent decline, and he may never recover his best form for his new club. I don't think he'd be a risk worth taking at this point in his career.

Would Odegaard leave Real for us? I think he'll be determined to make it work there.
Sanchez was often injured and in his 30th year. Eriksen is 27 and in his prime, not likely to ask for wages as stupid as Sanchez surely.
I think the only comparison that can be made is both look disinterested for their current employers before moving.

He and his father are big Liverpool fans. That doesn't necessarily rule out anything, just saying.
Saying he's 27 makes it sound like he has 3 years but in reality he's 28 in a few months and if we sign him in the summer, he'll be 29 years old after only being at the club 6 months. We get 1.5 years out of him before he's 30, not 3 years.
So hes 27 turning 28 and Sanchez was 29 turning 30. I'd say Eriksen still has more in him in that regard, especially in the position he operates. He's not a winger or a full back with limited shelf life, and he doesn't rely on an explosive style of play like Sanchez.
Not saying he's certainly going to be great but it's just lazy to say it's going to be another Sanchez situation.
Burnt out and tired of his club? This does make me wonder how long it would be before he became tired of us as well. A 'steer clear for me.I don't agree with the comparison that likened his situation with Sanchez's at all.
It was pretty clear that Sanchez was looking for big contract (choosing us over City only further clarified this) while in the case of Eriksen maybe He's just burnt out, tired of Spurs and needs a new motivation. Vertonghen had a scandal with his gf and now Poch has left the club. It must have sucked for him.
He can be worth the gamble.
Talk on signing him is for Jan and not in Summer, he will be 28 by Feb 2020 and still good 2-3 year.I don't know about his injury history but assume it can't be worst and if he can manage himself easily we can get 3-5 yrs from him.Saying he's 27 makes it sound like he has 3 years but in reality he's 28 in a few months and if we sign him in the summer, he'll be 29 years old after only being at the club 6 months. Like any player of quality we could sign it all depends on the wage and fees, Eriksen for a few million now and a reasonable wage is a no brainer, but we do not need to saddle ourselves with another benchwarmer on wages so high we can never possibly offload him.
If we could get him from spurs for a pitttance now and put him on a short contract 2 years maybe at £150 - 200k it would be a decent deal, sure the project is long term to build a young squad from the ground up, but having an experienced quality midfielder to open up defenses relatively on the cheap has to be a good idea, especially as we will inevitibly be losing Pogba.

Shh I'm trying my best to get this deal happen.Really? Do you really believe everything you read? Plus Eriksen is married.
Still better than a non burn out, non tired LingardBurnt out and tired of his club? This does make me wonder how long it would be before he became tired of us as well. A 'steer clear for me.
If Pogba is going to Madrid he isn´t, even Van De Beek going to Madrid leaves him little option of going to Madrid. Getting him here in January gives us a great option and at a good price, with Pogba leaving it makes so much sense. His dream is to play for Madrid and the deal is a matter of if he joins in Jan or in the end of the season.
Or Madrid go after the cheaper version in Eriksen and Pogba goes nowhere. That doesn´t really sound like Madrid to me but yeah that could happen.Or Madrid go after the cheaper version in Eriksen and Pogba goes nowhere. Makes more sense.
