feck the stage dude, I'm with bale on this. It wasn't the first time the guy did that. He did it once before and Bale is getting in the moment to do a scene. How the feck would you feel at your work if you're trying to work and some clown keeps bugging you. Of course, you'd flip on him. Big Ups to Bale.

An associate producer for the forthcoming TERMINATOR SALVATION movie has defended CHRISTIAN BALE's alleged on-set rant, insisting the actor was a "consummate professional" during filming. A man said to be actor Bale can be heard angrily screaming and using profanity at the movie's director of photography, Shane Hurlbut, for distracting him during shooting by walking into his field of vision.
In the four-minute tirade, Bale reportedly shouts: "I'm trying to do a f**king scene here and I'm going, 'Why the f**k is Shane walking in there? What's he doing there?' Do you understand my mind is not in the scene if you're doing that?"
The man later promises to "kick his f**king ass" before threatening to quit the film unless Hurlbut was fired.
But Bruce Franklin, an assistant director and associate producer on the fourth Terminator film, insists the star was only upset for a short period of time before his "moment" passed.
Franklin tells E! Online, "If you are working in a very intense scene and someone takes you out of your groove... It was the most emotional scene in the movie. And for him to get stopped in the middle of it - he is very intensely involved in his character. He didn't walk around like that all day long. It was just a moment and it passed."
And Franklin is adamant the rant has only been released to slander Bale, who he worked with on the 2000 movie Shaft: "This was my second movie with Christian, and it has always been a good experience with him. He is so dedicated to the craft. I think someone is begging to make some noise (controversy) about this, but I don't think it's fair. The art of acting is not paint by numbers, it's an art form."

To be fair, I don't dislike Bale for that. He might go a little overboard, but this is a huge budget production and some guy keeps ruining it by walking on. Bale's probably really into the mindset of his character and then it's ruined by some guy just trundling around in the background.

Said to be? It clearly is! I never get this with the press, they write some right libellous stuff at times, and just complete fabrications at others. And yet when it's clear as hell in an instance like this who it is, they tippy toe on it!
Just heard this. Bale probably overreacted a little bit but the guy disturbed him when he was 'in the zone'. It doesnt excuse the tone of his rant but it makes sense. Its very annoying and unprofessional to distract actors when they are filming.
I can't listen to it until i get back from work. Always been a big bale fan, sinse American Psycho at least and i'll still enjoy his films even if he turns out to be the worlds biggest asshole.
Regardless the more i think about it and the context some of the posters in this forum have put it in i would say maybe he over-reacted but he can feel justified and it sounds like a fairly isolated incident.

Supposedly this happened a couple of days before the family thing. Might well be whatever was going on privately caused the scale of his blow up, who knows. Maybe not, I can understand why someone would lose it with someone being amateur like this repeatedly anyway. You'd think it'd be the director stepping in to have a word, but seemingly not
If I was Bale, I'd be more pissed off I'd said yes to starring in a Terminator film more than anything!

He might be one of the best actors around, but his behavior is that which will cost him millions. People that have shit attitudes and are potentially violent onset, don't get all the work that they might. Not as though he needs the money.
From my professional opinion, as I've worked on sets in Hollyweird... he's a scumbag that needs to check his temper. One other commonallity is that people the lose it like that are either old insane people or people on drugs.

I heard that his mum threatened his wife outside their hotel so he pushed past her to leave. She's supposedly still bitter about Bale choosing his dad when they divorced, not helped by the fact that he is now extremely wealthy and she isn't.
