I like Moyles, his humour isn't to everyones liking and that's the same with everyone. But his show gets 7-8m listeners each day - so he must be doing something right.

Also i'd say a lot of the 1.5million pounds raised for comic relief for the charity mountain climb is thank to Chris Moyles and the popularity of his breakfast show - 90% of money raised was via radio 1. Not as useless as you might think.
 
He also had a great rant today at a daily newspaper for buying photographs of the climb off of unofficial sources and in doing so getting free publicity yet giving nothing to comic relief.

That made me respect him more.
 
I prefered him when he was in the afternoons years ago, but he's not bad.

If you don't like him though, keep away from the TV. He's got a new quiz show coming up soon.
 
I like him, met him 5 years ago and watched the Chelsea/United game with him (Mourinho's first game in charge).

Nice bloke, funny too.
 
I like him.

His breakfast show gets really boring after while because its literally the exact same every day but he used to give me plenty of laughs going to work.
 
Coming back to this thread, i used to listen to his afternoon show a lot. It was pretty good, but i only had it on because beforehand were the comedy geniuses of Mark and Lard. Now there was a radio show that made you laugh!
 
Anyone who hauls them selves up a mountain that huge in aid of helping needy children around the world, raising 1.5 million in the process is ok by me.

Agreed. For him to go along with that and actually do it is commendable espically considering the jibes and critism he got from the media and public. A good 2 finger salute from Moyles on the way back down.

Agree totally, ok I think he's brilliant.
 
Currently been on the air for 30+ hours for comic relief. Sounds like he's having a right laugh at the same time. Good on him.

He'll start to feel it when we get to the late night shows again where there's less banter and the music is less mainstream.

They accumulate a 5 minute break for each hour done from what I understand, but they've only taken about two 20 minute breaks for a shower and generally sort themselves out.

They've also pretty much raised £700k currently. I'd imagine they'll hit £1m by tomorrow.
 
I can't think of anything worse than 30+ hours of Chris Moyles.
 
Who has broken the BBC's record now. Tomorrow at 8.30am he'll break the world record.
 
Fair play, he's helped raise a lot of money. I might not be his biggest fan, infact his TV stuff is dreadful, but got to give him a bit of praise.

The only problem is he won't shut up about the record if he does it.
 
Personally I'd be more inclined to pay money to Comic Relief to keep him off the air. Can't help feeling they've missed a trick there.
 
I have been following him avidly though his challenge. Superb radio and TV.
 
Used to like him when he was on 3pm, would listen to his show on the way back from school.

Now he annoys me, that quiz he does is shit, definitely a face for radio.
