Track and Field Eamon Coughlan, "The Chairman of the boards" or Sonia. For a few years there the whole country would literally stop to watch her run, and when she rounded the final bend there was support like I've seen for nothing else in this country.

(I merely think he's cool, because he's "the rebel" of formula 1 - or in other words... a rally-driver placed in a F1-car ;) )

You know i hate only two drivers in F1 now.

Juanker and M$.

Im ok with the rest.

What's with Juan Pablo???

- I agree with ya on the Shoemaker, but that's probably just because of the suverenity...

He's always trying to bloody take people off, and his idiotic style just does not go with me.

How many times have you seen him hit someone while overtaking?

Aggression with force...wheras M$ is aggression with style

DanishDevil, I think Jason Watt is well known amongst those into motor racing. His story is an amazing one and I find it incredible that after his mention the thread moved towards discussing of all people JP Montoya, surely they should be battling it out in F1 every week...I think that the Montoya/Heidfeld/Trulli/Wilson/Junqueira generation would tell some tall tales about that guy.

After Watt's accident he has held heaps of conferences, talking about his life...\
He's an awesome speaker!

I loved one of his stories about when his wife was pregnant, and she suddenly told him that the "water brroke" - his first reaction was "What? In the kitchen?"

- When the ambulance had to picked her up and droven her to the hospital, Jason went on his own. As he said: "When I arrived to the hospital, I sat down to relax and sip a cup of coffee to calm my nerves. 5 minutes later, my wife arrived."

I honestly don't think anything can wipe the smile of his face (when you think of what he has been through...)

Ever heard him speak, Keane16? (what kinda racing are you involved in yourself?)

Football : Platini (Not old enough to have seen either Pele or Best)
Tennis : McEnroe or even Sampras (people didn't like him but he was the ultimate professional IMO
Boxing : Sugar Ray Robinson or Ali.
Golf : Jack Nicklaus
Snooker : Jimmy white. .
Basketball : Jordan
Motorsports : Senna and Schumacher (Bite my tongue) but he is incredible. Its not just the car that makes the difference.
Track and Field : Daley Thompson or Sergi Budka.
Rugby: Martin Johnson. I know it's very recent but his record and the way he conducted himself on and off the field was the image of a professional sportsman.
