Chloe Kelly on loan - goes to Arsenal not United

I'm not desperate for this signing by any stretch, but after a day of deadline day refreshing and paying precious little attention to my work, it would be gutting to see all three of our top four rivals strengthened this window and ourselves simply weakened.
 
Arsenal and their believed lionesses of course. Arsenal and Chelsea just hoarding players as usual. I have no idea why Arsenal would need her, but they clearly dont want us to be stronger. Why City would accept a move to Arsenal I have no idea, it make zero sense! If they would not accept a move to United it would be as stupid to allow a move to Arsenal. Fecking City cnuts!

But if Arsenal says come here, we will sign you immediately to a new long term contract, then its game over for United! Arsenal has everything, attendance, champions league, the history! They dont need Kelly obviously, but they have the money and power to feck over United! They could just pay to get Chloe to not strengthen Man United!
 
If Chloe's primary concern is not getting enough minutes on the pitch, I don't see how moving to Arsenal (or to us, for that matter) is going to help. I get the sense that she's more concerned about getting out of City than about where she goes from there.

As for us, the only reason I can see wanting to bring her in would be as a temporary replacement for Geyse, but we have no idea how long she'll be out and we'll have that need.
 
Tbh, it makes Arsenal look weak that they need to hi-jack our transfer last minute, not that they care, they will just hoard more players on the bench!

Its painful to see the confirmation time and time again that once Arsenal comes calling we are toast, but its just reality. With Geyse away and probably mentally distracted we really could have used Chloe Kelly.

Yeah we definitely could, would say City put a block on her joining us but if she didn't want Arsenal then turns down offer like she did with Brighton, alas she didn't. Knowing our luck she will score against us for Arsenal when we play them again.

She had to go somewhere and city definitely didn't want it to be us.
Not too bothered our squad has gelled.
 
Celin Bizet pretty much has right wing on lock for me, and of course Leah Galton on the left. Just hoping and praying they both stay fit now because if nothing else the depth would have helped.

Think we tried but whether they had no intention of selling to us like @StretfordEnd78 said or the offer just wasn't attractive enough. Just seen on BBC article that one team didn't include an agreement to pay wages, please say we weren't that cheap.

We needed this signing more than Arsenal, almost certainly will join them on a permanent deal in the summer so boat has sailed. Probably rips it up for them and they take last Champions League place too.

Hope we get second and a goal from Kelly in the last minute of the season helps Arsenal get ahead of Man City at third place.

Amazes me how there are some people on WSL FB page who think we will get her in summer. City will come back at us and Arsenal when Hemp, Shaw and ex red Greenwood get fit
 
In the end it seems it was more about finances rather than rivalry that stopped Kelly coming to us

Again showing that the likes of Chelsea & Arsenal have much more financial power than us in the Womens game

Not so sure it was about finances more that City would do everything to stop her coming here

It's possible but Arsenal are as much of a rival, if not more

If we'd offered the same then it would be clear but sounds like our offer was lower

Kelly realises Abu Dhabi's dictatorship may not be the nicest people to cross.
