I'd very much like to see Chivu and that would be it, assuming Silvestre stays, as Chivu will give us both the desired options at left back and center half.

I just can't see us spending our millions on Mexes now. We've already signed a 33m center half, blowing countless other millions on a player who is a centerhalf and nothing but would be ridiculous. Unless we've robbed a bank that is.

no chance in hell he'll come. italy or spain is the broken record on offer. pity. i think he may go to real or milan from what he's saying. both would want him. real an obnvikous choice, and milan cos he loves nesta. balls to him then :(
 
We need player who WANTS to play for United. So Escude will do in the summer after we buy a striker.

Man. U. just needs 2 players.

One of them is Kluivert, one of the(maybe THE) best forwards at the moment.
The other: CHIVU
Ur defence really sucks. But with Chivu you'd have a great defence. Rio Ferdinand as a real defender who just takes his opponent down, and Chivu with his great positionplay would take care of al the sneaky balls through the defence which he really sees through. He almost always is in the right position to take the ball.
Not to forget Chivu is an excellent player to begin an attack with. He always sets up attacks very good. He doesn't just shoot the ball away or plays the ball in the feet of a player from the other team.
Christian Chivu is the defender you guys need, sadly for U, he's also the defender Real Madrid needs, to replace old man Hierro in the back and fill in there only weak spot....

Yep, I have to say that the most stupid thing that Sir Alex did was let Jaap Stam go, he was you're defence and by selling him you sold you're whole defence......

And only because Sir A. couldn't take a little bit a criticism......
 
In the Netherlands the news is that ManUtd and some other English clubs renewed their interest in Kevin Hofland.
