Here we go. U21 or another season as U18?

He literally left Arsenal because of thisU18s until he proves otherwise no reason to rush at the moment
You think?U18s until he proves otherwise no reason to rush at the moment
Didn't even think of the YC. Could haveYou think?
He scored 32 goals last season at U18 level for Arsenal, so I'd say that proves him at that level. I think he should certainly be in and amongst the U21's next season, even if he makes some U18 / Youth Cup appearances as well.
Yep. And Mantato as well as another exciting right sided (left footed) option.Didn't even think of the YC. Could have
Lacey Ibragimov Thwaites
Chido
Quite an exciting one as he seems to be rated as one of the highest potential talents of his age bracket.
Thought if he wanted to break into first team football asap he’d have gone either to Germany or a club like Everton/Southampton. United must have given him serious assurances
Yeah but he doesn't know our system yet, integrate him slowly and probably by the end of this year he'll move up to the U21s. And maybe training with the first team at some point in the spring. Unless he's making huge waves I don't know if he'll make a 1st team appearance this year.He literally left Arsenal because of this
Mainoo says hello.Just saw a stat that Arsenal gave 13 minutes playing time to teenagers last season. We have Ethan Wheatley 13 minutes, so it’s hard to argue against United having the better pathway
Really excited about this one - but a bit worried if reports are true and we’re paying him £30k per week - I was hoping the days of us overpaying were gone with Ineos
And Garnacho who, while just turned 20, was obviously a teenager all last season.Mainoo says hello.
I think you’ve misunderstood what he’s saying. He’s saying that Arsenal have 13 mins playing time total to teenagers last season, and we have that alone to just Ethan Wheatley, who is well down the pecking order. Obviously on top of that we have a ton of minutes to other teenagers, most notably Mainoo. Hence why he’s saying it’s hard to argue against United providing a better pathway.Mainoo says hello.

There was a stat posted for PL minutes last season for teenagers and we were way clear of any other club thanks to Mainoo and Garancho. With Kambwala chipping in as well.

Been browsing the youth league and apparently the top scorer has scored a goal every 45 minutes, 32 goals in 18 games for Arsenal u18, including 10 goals against Liverpools u18:

He is eligible to play for three different national teams, 16 years old. Transfermarkt has him linked to Dortmund (surprise!).

He’s absolutely huge, and with the amount he scored at U18 and given his move I think he likely goes straight to U21s.
He’ll be 17 in November. I don’t think it’s outside the realms of possibility he makes a match day squad at some point this season.
Hes almost 2 years younger than Wheatley, who I imagine probably is either loaned or given a shot as our 4th choice ST.
