Chevrolet holding up deals?

Does anyone think that the reason we haven't finalised any deals yet has anything to do with the fact that our new jersey with Chevrolet on isn't out yet?

When clubs sign a new player you always see pictures of him holding up the clubs jersey. Seen as our new jersey isn't out yet, maybe the club don't want to announce any new players until the jersey is out so the players can be seen with Chevrolet on it? Maybe its part of an agreement with them?

You think Ed is negotiating with the handbrake on?

Heard Woodward called a lot of things, but Chevrolet is a new one.

:lol::lol::lol:

I personally blame Mister Potato. Players can't be seen snacking on Malaysia's #1 potato snack during the world cup.

I think the World Cup is holding us up. I honestly do think that we're avoiding making anything official as we don't want Van Gaal constantly being questioned during the World Cup about Luke Shaw for example.

A week after the WC ends, I see a signing being made official.

I don't think so, good question though as it could be possibly a reason at some stage in football.

It could be one off the few reasons!

No. They'd be pictured with a scarf, or signing a piece of paper representing their contract. A move won't be held up because a shirt hasn't been unveiled yet. At least I hope not.

So you think there is no chance that World Cup is holding us back.?

I think it is the only reason. Not "one off(sic) the few reasons!" as you suggest.

Edit: Although I have no faith that Woodward will do what is expected of him and I fully expect him and LVG to clash...... if they haven't already done so.

Holding up deals because of their faulty ignition switch scandal perhaps ?

While we are at it lets blame Global Warming as well for our lack of transfers.

It's not Chevrolet. That'd be stupid.

I'm 99% sure it's Casillero del Diablo, however. "The boss said a new devil is arriving". The hold up is obviously down to them. Anyone doubting it has got their head stuck in the mud.

Yes.

Not me, obviously, but I mean, there are a lot of people and they believe a lot of weird things so, statistically speaking, it seems highly probable that someone thinks this.

I'd be amazed if Barack Obama hasn't had a hand in us not signing anybody yet.

This is the real reason for the delays: our Twitter account's Photoshop free trial has expired.

I have an old version and the trial expired about 10 years ago. Every time I load it up I get a message saying it expired 999 days ago and then I click elsewhere and it lets me carry on.

I know this isn't strictly related to our transfer dealings but I tend to think there are some threads where taking them off topic is probably for the best.

*thinks* Where is this 'elsewhere' key??

My sister once gave me a "panic" button that sticks on your keyboard. The idea being it would be a comfort to know it was there.

There are few things less comforting than a big red button that says "panic" that doesn't even depress (is depress what buttons do when they are pressed... either way I'm setting you up nicely here).

Chevrolet doesn't give a shite about who United sign. If they could, they would get out of this deal immediately. They see it as a huge mistake, which why they fired Joel Ewanick(former global CMO).

No chance the kit deal is holding things up. They could easily just have a picture of them signing the papers, in front of the logo or something else. Plenty of options.

The world cup is the main issue, particularly with our new manager effectively not even started his role with us until after the dutch are knocked out. The players we are looking to sign likely don’t want the distraction right now and neither does our manager. I’m hoping to see a bunch of deals swiftly brought to conclusion once the dutch are knocked out or the World cup ends.
