Chelsea vs. Manchester United

I think SAF has given answer to any possible question during his time at United. Did he probably see a transitional period coming with the current squad and wanted to leave on a guaranteed high? Yes, but that was his unreserved right.vIf you put a fit Rooney/RVP and Carrick in all our games so far this league it's not hard to imagine us being 3rd/4th under Moyes.

The reliance Fergie made us have on those players to carry an increasingly poor squad is the real issue. We should have strengthened several areas before this summer.

That red card has killed us, we're probably going to lose this game now.

fecking ridiculous the extent that some people go to back moyes that they criticize sir Alex.

His refusal to fix the midfield is a huge part of this. The job was going to be difficult for Moyes regardless, he's replacing with a stand and statue at his place of work FFS but to then have to try and fix the biggest hole in the squad with Woodward in charge of negotiations? He'd have had a better chance if we'd hired Trigger to replace Gill.

How is that a red card? feck off. It's a booking and nothing more.

Just appeal. That's a silly one to give, regular yellow.

Harsh red, pleased to see Vidic's frustration though.

Jones/Evans at CB moving forward is not bad thing imo.

It was a red. Not as bad as some, but he just took the opposition player down without even looking at the ball.

Vidic with another late red in a big game that we're already losing.

Eto'o MOTM and he's done basically nothing to get his hat trick and the rest of his game was shite.

It's a fecking yellow, normal trip to stop a quick chance. Just our luck though. Not only are we shit but we aren't getting shit from the refs.

Someone from our crowd threw so!ething there I think

Real shame that once again we get routed by another top team. This time we actually started off well but clearly Moyes/the team were shaky against the counterattacks and we had no idea how to deal with them. etoo scoring 3 goals against us is a kick in the teeth. Still haven't forgiven him for the CL finals.

You just have to put your hands up and say this isn't our season. Despite such an encouraging start to the match it still doesn't mask the fact that we don't create chances. We just seem to be sorely lacking in our shots on goal and actually creating good opportunities to score. We can have all the possession in the world but every team knows we're going to swing the ball out to Valencia for a cross into the box.

Defending was atrocious today and the whole back four is to blame. Not just Evans and Evra. Vida didn't exactly play well either. Its difficult to accept the reality that we are looking more and more likely to be dropping out of the CL after this year. As I type this our captain has lost all discipline and been given a straight red. I just feel Moyes is looking more and more like he can't turn this around and is the wrong man for the job. The right man for the job is clearly sitting In the opposite dugout with ample experience in Europe and England, having won trophies all across the continent. I just hope somehow we can pull out a miracle and get to 4th place.
