Chelsea and Gudjohnson

Perhaps you hearing this from the defenders of the faith type posters rather than those who, you have to concede, do present an objective opinion more often than not.</strong><hr></blockquote>

Unfortunately the objective posters seem to be getting less and less...

But then the Ahmeds of this world have their place so I shouldn't complain

True, but I just find it questionable why a United supporter would rubbish a United player on his first post. I wouldn't walk into a Liverpool pub, introduce myself, and then say how shit heskey is, even if it is true.</strong><hr></blockquote>
After 313 posts, I also think Forlan is Garbage.

Wrongly. They would be basing their opinions on his goal-scoring record, not his whole game.

If he wasn't contributing anything on the pitch, as well as not scoring, they would be right. But he's actually been very useful.</strong><hr></blockquote>
The last thing I based my opinion on is the scoring record, The scary thing is that the other aspects of his game leaves no hope for the future, 23 is not exactly too early to judge a player. Cole was not scoring in his first year with UTD and people were not patient, but I always knew he was a great addition, he actually had a hand in more than 1/2 of the goals we scored that year. For one second, try to give people some credit when it comes to football, we also know how the game is played.Deep down half of Forlan fans wish we never bought him and saved the 7.5 mil for something better.

Don't write him off so soon Algred. The season hasn't even started yet. He scored during the WC and he's scoring for us in the warm up matches. That's all you can ask for at this stage.

I have mixed feelings about Forlan at the moment - I'd like him to grab this season with both hands and prove himself (hopefully) but a small part of me believes that with 7.5 million pounds, we could have gotten someone better.

Or the fact there was a bidding war with the Boro, which was in Diego's favour where wages were concrened! he now has to live up to the hype. I think he may end up being a winger or left sided midfielder for us instead of an out and out striker and that then would leave us with only 2 recognised front men <img src="graemlins/nervous.gif" border="0" alt="[Nervous]" />
