Leicester absolutely slaughtering these. The only positive for Wazza is that he's had a shave and doesn't look like he's pushing 60 any more, because this could easily be like 8-2 already.
when they play them with pace they do, getting better and better at doing so sometimes is too slow and uselessLeicester make so many openings. They make passing look easy
They look like a well coached team though. Makes me jealous watching teams who can speed up play when the want and slow it down when they need.when they play them with pace they do, getting better and better at doing so sometimes is too slow and useless
Enzo Maresca is looking like a very good manager at Championship level. It will be interesting to see how much money he will get to spend in preparation for the Premier league. They look like a well coached team though. Wasn’t he peps assistant? That’s him and Arteta doin well. We got the dodgy one who worked with pepEnzo Maresca is looking like a very good manager at Championship level. It will be interesting to see how much money he will get to spend in preparation for the Premier league.
Actually Maresca is the first one (except Tito Villanova RIP) from all the people that worked with Guardiola during the years who is following his footsteps tactically and as an man management. Ten Hag learned a lot from Pep but like Arteta had own ideas about football even before working with the Catalan.. Maresca learned from Manuel Pellegrini as an assistant first but Guardiola is his ultimate example and guiding light into coaching.. i really hope this is just the start of may be a great managerial career..Wasn’t he peps assistant? Only going to take a run of three or four good results and you'll be back in playoff contention, it's really tight from 6th to 15th.4 consecutive defeats and shipping goals for fun. We are garbage right now.
That's how the Championship works .. It makes for fun football....Only going to take a run of three or four good results and you'll be back in playoff contention, it's really tight from 6th to 15th.
You're not wrong. That's how the Championship works .. It makes for fun football....
Rodgers was absolutely awful but the media loved him & he escaped criticism .Leicester are making a mockery of “the hardest league to get out of in the world”. The standard is average but also proves that Rodgers did an awful Job with getting Leicester relegated.

Enzo Maresca is doing one hell of a job at Leicester right now. It will be interesting to see how his style holds up in the Premier.Leicester are better team then at least the current bottom 3 in the Premier League so it's not that surprising.
Angus Gunn went full Patrick Battisson on Aaron Connolly and the ref gave a free out
Despite conceding a million goals so far, Southampton achieve promotion comfortably, quote me on that come the end of the season.
I wouldn't be putting money on that unless they change managers quickly.
What makes you think this? I see no suggestion whatsoever they will go up 'comfortably'.
Clarke from Sunderland is definitely ready for a step up. He's too good for this league. Rumours of Lazio being interested in him now.

When I said that Southampton were 9th, and coming off a 5-0 loss to Sunderland and a 1-4 loss to Leicester (and lost their next 2 games too). They’re not going to catch Leicester so ‘comfortably’ was too strong a wording, but I think they’ll finish second above Leeds (who are in top form themselves tbf).
Edit : Typical that as I say this they’re in for their first loss in over 25 games
Fair play to a degree as they have improved massively, much more than I thought they would. I think they will finish 3rd and go up. But aye, I still think to suggest they will go up comfortably is fanciful, though not nearly as unlikely as it was back when you posted.
I broadly agree. I think Farke's style of play is far more likely to provide consistent enough performances to finish 2nd. The way Saints play is so extreme in one direction or another. Considering the quality they are up against in the Leeds squad (and a talented manager with experience at this level) I can't see them being quite good enough - in part for reasons you give.I think how they respond to tonight will be really important, as when Martin was at Swansea there was a few instances where the team went on a really good run, but when that run was broken the side basically went on an equally bad run. With the form Leeds are in (who looked really good tonight, albeit we were shite) Southampton really can’t afford any slip ups, so their game on Friday will be quite telling imo.
