Champions league Semi Finals 2020-21 - April 27-28 and May 4-5

The commentators were saying that Bayern are no match for this City side. I could only laugh. How bad can your English bias be to put forth such an astonishingly bad assessment.

A full strength Bayern would have picked apart this City.
It's lucky we have you to set us right with your purely logical conclusion to balance out the bias then.

Bayern aren't in the semis because a lucky PSG fluked their way past a Bayern that was hit by injury crisis at the worst possible time.

City Bayern would be a beautiful match, saying City would easily handle Bayern just makes you sound dumb.

Yeah and it's just our bloody luck that their best two players were injured and robbed us of seeing the right game

Hyde so in theory I should be City if you believed their shite. Half my family are.

But being pleased for them! Its not the 50s.
Not pleased but just dont like the idea of a cockney team overtaking our tally and Madrid winning another one is annoying as feck as they have won so many.

If city win it this season, infront of no fans, and guardiola decides he is done in Manchester, then I won't be too bothered. They still need another two to match us not to mention all the other trophies they will need to catch up.

Also as a mancunian though, it's something that would be good for Manchester as a place. Having two European winners in one city is impressive.

PSG are just a joke at this point. Only got one more chance for someone to stop City then

I fecking hate the commentary in the Champions League when an English team is involved. It's the absolute worst

Post-match not much better. Carragher - "This is great for English football!"

Richards acts as if he's still in the side, so much I'll be surprised if he doesn't turn up for the final broadcast in full kit.

Can we send Ole to whoever qualifies from tomorrow's semi final?

Absolute mentality of SAF :(

It's phenomenal. It beggars belief just how high his standards are. This is why he won so much. He absolutely refused to rest on his laurels for even a moment! CL win? He was already thinking about the first PL game of the following season.

Careful with all that salt. Ain't good for your blood pressure.

Don't you think he has a valid point with the amount of sportswashing that goes on in the UAE or are you one of those fans who have genuinely been sucked in with the City media lovefest

It's lucky we have you to set us right with your purely logical conclusion to balance out the bias then.
You haven't even won it yet, and we have you lot coming out it the bushes, eh?
So you think you are better than Bayern Munich?

Pep will be unbearably smug and we'll never hear the last of it, the pundits will go into overdrive ("magnificent, wonderful, exquisite, Pep masterclass, his jumpers are superb ...... blah), but I'll back them over Chelsea and (definitely over Real) because they're at least Manchester. Not exactly full of Mancunians, mind you, unless you count Foden.
Foden is actually from stockport lol!

Still pretty close though. I'm just scared to see another English team match our 3 CL titles. Chelsea seem to do well in the competition.

Added time is a joke in football.

Game over? 2 minutes despite subs, goals and red cards.

Underdog chasing a game? 6 minutes.
Big team chasing a game while the opposing goalkeeper’s been taking a minute for every goal kick since the 21st minute? 1+4 minutes.
It's why we need an off-field timekeeper and scoreboard showing the time.

This PSG team must be the biggest assortment of unlikeable players of at least the last 15 years. Somebody please save Marquinos and get him out of there.

If the final is City v Madrid, I can genuinely see Pep overthinking it and losing it. Zidane doesn't overthink a final, that's why he won three in a row.

Bayern would have won this tournament with relative ease with Lewandowski fit.

Arguably even with Gnabry

Anyway sometimes you get injuries, thats football.
There's literally zero evidence for that, none. Bayern squeezed past PSG in the final last year having been outplayed, and now you're going to tell me that they should have won this tournament? What are you smoking? I made so much off PSG wining against Bayern, I was up against people who think like you.

What sounds stupid is you logging onto Redcafe to weirdly praise Bayern having been dumped out by a PSG team who themselves were thrashed by City. If you can't see that, then there's no hope for you unfortunately.

Absolutely pathetic evidence-free analysis by a supposed veteran on the Caf. But carry on.

Do you read or are just as blind as Arteta who thinks his side is playing well but unlucky to not win games?
I said a full strength Bayern team. PSG didn't beat a full strength Bayern team and that's why they progressed over them to the semis.
Don't talk to me like you talk to your family. I know exactly what you said. You're saying things that have absolutely no evidence. The fact is that Bayern got dumped out by a PSG team who were relatively weak against City. Those are the facts. When Bayern had "full strength" they actually got outplayed by PSG in the final last year, so what EVIDENCE do you have that they would have beaten PSG this year?

I don't care about your stupid brain-dead opinion, I want to see some evidence.

The reason is that Lewandowski wasn't there to score one of the 40 odd chances they created against PSG over two legs.
If you're not going to provide evidence for your opinion, don't quote me. Not interested in what you have to say.

Tuchel for poch are them moving backwards. Overrated and never getting close to UCL finals again.
Especially with both Neymar and Mbappe looking for a way out.
They are never getting two players like that ever again.

I bet you any money now that Foden is shit for England at the Euros and does absolutely nothing.

That's not a fair assumption considering that ,except for 2018 WC(with a really favorable draw), England has been a joke of a NT since the 90s, with much much better players than Foden doing nothing relevant for England NT.

If much better players than Foden did nothing relevant for England NT, why would it be surprising that the same happens to Foden?

City would easily handle Bayern. There's a reason why Bayern aren't in the Semis. Stop making ridiculous excuses, it's just pathetic honestly.

DIsagree, Bayern just didnt take chances and made mistakes, and couldnt handlt ehte individual brilliance of Mbappe....City didnt face that tonight, but Bayern and City are without a doubt the two best sides in Europe at the moment and it would be a close game.

People slating PSG, yes they were petulant and as often in recent years, fell apart when the tide turned. BUT I think they played really well for the first half an hour in each matchand if DiMaria hadnt of fluffed his chance and Mbappe was fit, who knows what could have happened.

Credit where it is due though, the second half of each game City were superb, this game encapsulated this seasons CIty for me. Personally I dont think this sides tempo and high press is as good as other City sides and I also dont think they are as good as others tearing sides apart in the final third.....what makes this seasons side good is they are much better defensively, once we got to Christmas this year, they had a centre back partnership and better organisation defensively, so not shipping many silly goals. They are also I think the best CIty side so far at keeping possession of the ball.

Yes of course they are a team that has bought success in terms of spending the most on managers and players, but there is no denying in terms of an organised balanced performance, no denying (through gritted teeth) they fully deserve to be in the final this season

Preach. It is over. Perhaps in 5-8 seasons PSG will stage a coup once again and try to buy the current TopTop player by 250-300 million, but the Neymar-Mbappé era is truly over.

You mean a City that needed a ridiculous refereeing decision in both matches to beat Dortmund, who are 5th in the BL? Please, Bayern could've easily disposed of this City team.

I have to say I found this highly amusing as someone who works in professional gambling.

That was just the easiest part to laugh at.

Do people really care about City winning trophies?

Liverpool winning the league or the European Cup hurts because as much as I hate them, they're a proper club and a proper rival.

City doesn't bother me at all. They stopped being our local rival and a football club worth worrying about when they became the plaything for an oil state to corrupt the game.

I pay as much attention to them winning anything as I do the horse at the front of the Grand National whose rider fell at the first. They're not a legitimate competitor.

Well my family's footballing opinions aren't half as stupid as yours, so I never need to talk to them like that.

But you wouldn't know what a football would look like if it hit you in the face, so I wouldn't bother too much about it, alright?

What evidence we have that Bayern would have beat PSG with Lewa, Gnabry and Goretzka?
maybe that PSG advanced only on away goal technicality despite those missing and Lewandowski being the best goal scorer in the world in a match where Bayern created 32 chances.

Chelsea will give them more of a game in the final than Real would, but City will finally do it after an illustrious 13 year history.

Also, very apt for plucky City that the final will be played in front of a small crowd.
