Bet this makes it worse, doesn't it?

 cracking bet.

Besides Real.... I guess.

And another who's ignoring the final part of his post. Unless of course people actually believe Barcelona's performance tonight was of the same standard as the recent matches v Real? They were far more direct, had more urgency and weren't as obsessed with 25 one-two's in a row in the middle of the park under no pressure. In the Real matches they were toothless and looked lethargic.

I don't know if you are being sarcastic, but if you really thought that he meant Zidan as opposed to forgetting an 'e', then you are a complete Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime.

Of course you know I was being sarcastic. I want to believe that.

Well, cleverly pedantic would be a better description.

:wenger:

It's really not a hard concept.

When playing at the top of their game, they are still comfortably the best in the world.

The point that's being made is that people disagree that the reason they're not at the top of their game at times is solely down to themselves. Teams like Real who beat them comfortably have to get credit for stopping them playing. Otherwise we're basically saying Barca play football inside a vacuum.

Basically.

The Schalke vs Gala game was surprisingly entertaining.

Messi and Iniesta were absolutely incredible, both defensively and offensively... they never stopped running, pressing, scrapping for the ball and dribbling their way out of trouble in some very tight spots. And Messi's first goal was a beauty.

On a different note, Mexes looks very much like Jeremy Renner.

Galatasaray fans yesterday tried to dig a tunnel into the frozen soil to get into the stadium... - there was so many without tickets

Bild tells - but the Schalke manager seems to have confirmed it.

Very pleased barcelona went through. Just makes the defeat against Madrid easier to take because I don't think we were beating them.

Drove down to fill up petrol..Turnpike Lane is going feckin mental with the Gala result.

I've been giggling for about 5 minutes picturing Boss going mental in the pub after someone pulls off a great move, like the loud motherfecker he is.

"Can I live"
Attention whore but great entertainment.

Not mine unfortunately haha.

So the guy actually won 49k off a £5 bet? The Caf needs to teach me how to gamble!!!

I'm disappointing that Barcelona made it through. Seems to just give the feel that they are likely to win it again when they are still in it. I would have preferred to see them knocked out and a totally different team to win the comp. Guess I'll just have to look at who ever they draw next to knock them out.

Bump bump bump. Got the shivers already for our biggest game of the season (so far).

Hope we get through. I want to show off my team, but that can only be done in the quarters, as most neutrals will be watching Bayern today.

Will Hames start this game, Arruda? He must have fully recovered by now, right?

It's James  (though pronounced "hámez").

Yes, he will start, but he also started the last game, and has been very underwhelming since his injury. I hope he gets back to his best tonight, as I'm almost certain we will need to score.

I know, buddy. I was kiddin'

Thanks for the info. I'm staying up just to watch him (and Isco), he better show up.

Who do you think will go through Arruda? You or Malaga?

I think we're favourites. We're already leading, didn't suffer goals at home, and have a far better first XI. We're also more mentally experienced at this level.

Not sure though, of course. We haven't performed at our best for the last month, Moutinho and James are returning from injury, and Mangala is still out. We're still more than good enough for them though. If we lose, it will be a huge disappointment.

Hoping Porto go through.

I'm having trouble even being interested in CL matches now though.
