Champions League Round of 16 fixtures

Messi is obviously nothing without Xavi and Iniesta, both assists from them :smirk:

Iniesta started very poorly, misplacing passes left and right, trying to force too much, but he's improved as the half went on... The thing that impressed me the most was the work rate by Messi (for the 1st time in a long, long while!), Iniesta and Dani Alves. Busquets and Xavi are so damn composed on the ball.

On a related note, that McDonald's advert has to be the worst advert in the history of television.

'I HATE MY STEPDAD BUT WE BOND OVER GHERKINS'

feck off McDonalds.

Yeah was saying the same the other day, crap advert, even crapper food. But then they have one on every other roundabout so reel you in during desperate hunger when nothing else is open.

Busquets has also been excellent in this match. Dani Alves has been a bit shite.

Lee Dixon??

They've pressed like that in every big game for the past 5 years.

And that is where part of the suspicion comes from. They have dead to the world in the past few weeks and here they are an absolute storm. Lets see how the second half progresses. Madrid were not even this intense against us in at the Bernabeu and they tired considerably in the second half.

feck me.

Messi getting applauded for standing still and walking around now.

Busquets has also been excellent in this match. Dani Alves has been a bit shite.

No way! He's been great, main outlet of the attack... huge work-rate and almost all the danger has come from Alba's side, as I predicted.

Is Messi the finest footballer ever? haveing some banter on Facebook with a City fan who says he is.

I've rated him as the best player ever for 2 years now really, and I have no doubts that he will be rated as the undisputed best by the time he retires. He's just incredible.

No. Needs to play out of his comfort zone, go test himself in another league, different team, football and culture/language to prove that IMO. That's what I like about Ronaldo, he's owned the best two leagues and when he went over young, it was way different to his home land. Spain is the easy slot for South American footballers IMO.
