Mourinho, Guardiola, Lampard, Ole, ArtetaCan't make out who that is? Valverde?
To be fair to the lad, visiting Liverpool is like stepping into hell.
Im sure you have a few quid tucked away to pay for it.Wouldn't be laughing, last time they spoke of making the place hell they wrecked a bus.

Repairing the bus is what made them break FFP you inconsiderate bastardsIm sure you have a few quid tucked away to pay for it.

Bunch of shithouses and a massive homer ref helped them see out the game. Would have been nice to get an away goal, but still would have us as favourites to go through at Anfield. Going to be a very different game.
The circle of life my friend.Repairing the bus is what made them break FFP you inconsiderate bastards
What's wrong with Haaland's agent?Dortmund game much more enjoyable 2nd half. Haaland some goal machine a pity he has such a dick of an agent.
No harm to see Liverpool beaten but when did they last lose without a shot on target? Unfortunately they will still get to the next round comfortably.
That's how I have it too.
We did the one thing we couldn't afford tonight and that's fall behind. Even if they haven't been good lately, they still know how to fecking defend.
You're winning the PL the way you are thanks to a combination of functionality and great individual quality honestly. The problem here is your type of individual quality is not the right type of individual quality to break down atletico's defence. You just don't have truly great dribblersThere's no one outstanding performer in this Liverpool side. There are some very good players but it's a functional side which works very well as a unit. We're going to win the league based on that functionality more than our individual quality imo.
That's the level of refs outside of England, where refs think they're officiating a rugby game more often than notSuch a poor ref. Not that we would have scored had he been an excellent ref but he was so, so poor. This can't be the level of elite Uefa refs, Shirley? Fell for every dive, whether it was us diving or (mostly) them.

Shocking performance and even worse subs. That game needed a Shaqiri or a Keita, Origi was an awful sub to bring on in that situation and Ox should be in midfield if anywhere.
Nah we took the lead through Mane before they equalized, but I was a lot more confident back then than I am know. Going back home knowing you can't really afford to concede a goal is always a bit of a shit feeling.Big difference compared trying to score away goals in Munich this time last year wasn't it? IIRC you fell behind in that one but never felt in doubt Liverpool wouldn't score at least once.

You get away with murder in the PL - VAR and tactical fouls. The ref was good, that's why you don't find it so easy to win in Europe.
Liverpool winless in their last six games away to Spanish opposition (five defeats and 1 draw)
Lucky for them they were playing a flaky Tottenham in that final last June in the Metropolitano Stadium instead of some Spanish outfit..
Good try, but Mane or Salah are still £250m each if you're asking in the summer.
I mean he wasn’t on the bench and is injured as far as I’m aware, it’s more the general point that that’s the type of quality we needed and type of player in this kind of game. One of our strengths is we have a good cameo players off the bench if used right when we’re really up against it. Today we used none and none correctly. Keita has just come back himself but he’s been very good every time he’s played he just can’t stay fit at all, that kind of drive and penetration is what we needed to link the midfield and attackers who were completely isolated.I'm not sure why Shaquiri didn't come on when you were struggling to break them down. Seems he's very out of favour at the moment. Not really sure Keita would have bucked the trend and offered anything but yeah Shaquiri for sure.
Mané used to be more that kind of player, capable of burning defenders from a standing start and dribbling through people. But you’re right neither he nor Salah are particularly intricate dribblers but they can be effective. I’d say we need an extra creative player at Anfield. A keita shaqiri or ox driving from midfield. Even Lallana and Minamino are options. Just not the exact three we saw tonight.
They are, but neither is the kind of dribbler that can beat multiple defenders and break down their structure. Which means you're in the same boat we are, pumping balls into the box and hoping one of your guys gets it and scores

Does anyone really call them the greatest club side ever other than Liverpool fans? Seems a wild exaggeration, havent seen anyone comparing this lot to Guardiola's Barca, the great Madrid and Bayern sides, Sacchi's Milan, or Ferguson's treble winners. It should be 6 straight defeats, and it would have been hard Barca not shit the bed.
Tonight was another night where the 'greatest club side ever' proved they are anything but that.
They find it so hard they're the reigning European champions, and finalists the year before.

We've always struggled away at Atletico harking back to the Benitez days when we faced them a few times, Chelsea became the first and only English team to win there ever in 2017. What were the other ones the Barca 3-0 and Real Madrid in Rodger's distastrous CL group season? That's shocking. It really is. It's not even fatigue, don't even know what it is. And to still reach two finals, winning one, makes it all the more bizarre.

It's mostly delusional Liverpool fans, admittedly.
