Champions League Round of 16 (16th Feb - 17th Mar)

I really hope Barca, Dortmund and Juve don't get wiped out at this stage of the comp. Probably not too fussed about Barcelona tbh.

Our last 5 matches we've won 2 (one of which was a record matching win) and drawn 3 (sucker punched in the last minute against Everton in a game we were coasting in and against Arsenal). Yeah it's not title winning form, but it's not that fecking bad. We actually played PSG and were bang in that game until Fred got sent off. Did you watch it? We also beat PSG comfortably in the game before that. They also had Neymar playing.

psg have Poch now, they look much better. I don’t think united are a bad side at all, but tuchel was fired for a reason. We also fared very well against psg overall but last night psg looked really good. I’m just disagreeing with united > Barca as we have been playing fairly well for the last month if not more outside of the psg match. I think Ole has done well with you guys overall

Naa, you just got irritated mate. All he said was United has pace to deal with PSG backline which is the truth. You just don't have that which is exactly why you lost. Barca were horribly shit yesterday.

And It's not like we won out of luck in group stages. We played 2 matches , outplayed them completely and should have been out of sight by half time at home.

Are we shit - ofcourse , more than what you guys are probably. But we dealt with PSG pretty fine back in November.

good response, cheers

Do Porto have a Telles clone? Got the same man bun and whips in the corner the same style

True, but it needed to be written anyway. On our best day we can compete with this Barcelona side, but we really struggle pulling all XI oars in the same direction on the same day. Bruno can put in an 8 performance but we’re dragged down by five others who are putting in a 5 performance. Anyway, in the end it may have been a good thing we got dropped down to a cup we have a decent chance of winning.
Yeah I can agree with that. Going to the Camp Nou, only Bruno, Cavani and possibly Rashford would turn up. This is the worst Barca side in two decades, and yet I feel we’d have simply wilted in that kind of grand stadium. We can hardly play at OT!

As for Europa, we are the bookies’ favourites I think, and rightly so based on squad quality. Sociedad are up there too but if we look at it positively, it’s a chance to get them out before push comes to shove.

In 4 games against you he was directly involved in 4 goals

Keeping him quiet is not that
Weird way of saying 1 goal in 4 to be honest.
His assists wasnt anything special. He was very quiet against us and thats the truth.
Whatever it was, it wasnt last night.

Sociedad are such a pain in the ass. I reckon you should be able to beat them but they are annoying as hell to play. Best of luck.

Why would they? All the top 5 leagues are in a bad place right now with very few truly brilliant teams right now.

CL >>>> Any domestic league

It is? I mean the teams in the CL don't look impressive at all. Juventus, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Dortmund all look a bit tripe.

Thanks. I know all about Isak, Oyarzabal and of course, Januzaj. We’ll be without a natural striker (actually, I think Greenwood is one, but Ole doesn’t), so it can either go the way of immense fluidity and speed in attack or a complete lack of presence upfront and Sociedad being able to easily high-press us. Hope it’s the latter. Is David Silva still as good as last season?

Sancho was the one who flew through when suso was about to shoot
True, true, just saw the replay again from a different angle. Personally don't think he did much wrong here. He bought the front like most attackers would.

People saying we should take Bentancur for Pogba must be off their fecking rocker!

Januzaj will definitely get a goal somehow
