Champions League Round of 16 (13th Feb - 14th Mar)

Should've had someone else take that. Lloris had clearly watched Higuain's penalties before the game. He guessed right both times. Easy to say in hindsight though.

I’m probably biased, but Eriksen is so classy:drool:

Spurs should be winning this with ease. How good is Dembele.. proper midfielder. Spurs need to sort out being nervous in first 10-15 minutes. Lack of know how and experience is what is separating the two sides at the moment. Quality wise Spurs are a solid CL knockout side now.

Despite Spurs shafting themselves they've shown a lot more guile and determination than our lads would be at 2-0 down.

I still think Juventus should be favorites to win this match.

Could be a huge miss that. Brilliant game though, breathless pace and both sides dangerous. Juve started brilliantly, spurs were asleep but then came back after conceding 2 goals really well. Juve looked a bit rattled at the back tbh, but spurs look vulnerable too because they're committing so many men forward. Still a few goals in this between both sides.

Great game, Higuain the perennial bottler.

Game is so similar to when we beat Juve back in 99, I wonder if Spurs could do the comeback.

how great was that from Costa though...looked like in his first half season at Bayern there where he ripped everything to shreds before ultimately being a shadow of that for the rest of his stint there.

Mousa Dembele was outstanding that half, controlling the game and easily spurs best player

What this thread needs is more knee jerk reactions to single incidents in which it is debated whether united are or are not as good as either of these teams.

Those of you who want to push the boat out a bit could also take it down to a player versus player level. It's not at all tedious honestly.
