Champions League Quarter Finals | Chelsea vs Real (Tue) | Bayern vs City (Wed)

It's early days yet but Enzo isn't living up to the hype in a Chelsea shirt so far.

Vini going at Fofan at every chance please. Get him off

Fans of other top clubs in Europe rooting for Real Madrid to extend the gap they have on everyone else in terms of European trophies will never not be confusing

United fans think Man City are more likely to lose against Real Madrid than they are to Chelsea. United fans don't want City to win the treble/CL. Real Madrid have more CLs than any club will catch up to in our lifetimes and they're not a direct rival of United's. Kinda makes sense for United fans from that perspective. ;)

Why is the stand behind Chelsea's goal unoccupied?
Why are seats covered at the Bernabeu?
Large sections of the lower tier have been out of use since 2021 as the stadium is undergoing renovations.

The project will see the capacity increased to 85,000 and add both a retractable roof and retractable playing surface.

It is the construction of this playing surface that has forced the closure of the stands, as it is being housed under them.

Lighting and irrigation systems are being installed in the lower section of the stadium to keep the pitch in good condition.

The retractable pitch will allow Real Madrid to use the stadium floor for other purposes, such as concerts, as is the case at Tottenham’s stadium, which also has a retractable playing surface.

The work was supposed to begin in 2017 but was delayed until 2019. It was set to finish last year but the timeline has been pushed back by the Covid-19 pandemic and supply issues caused by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, so work is now due to be completed later this year.

The alternative seems to be City winning the Champions League so...

Tbf if Madrid win this and then knock out city, reckon most will probably look at the other side and want them to win

GrandPa Silvio & his majorettes rising from the dead (the old chap is 86 and pretty serious in hospital these days) vs the Marvel Whites roster … however, Napoli is destroying them right now in San Siro but that Theo+Leao combo on the left is showing sucker punch potential.

aaaaaannnndddddd……. Leao does Leao on the left, outpaces three Napoli defenders, enters the box only to shoot it just wide on the far post!

13 ,14 or 15 champions leagues who really gives a feck. Can't see United catching them anyway and besides we're not even in the thing.

Chelsea getting stuffed on the other hand is always funny.

Madrid just play some really good football without being boring

Every time I’ve seen Felix do something well the opposition has the ball 2 seconds later.

Yeah that's a good point. We need double our tally just to be joint for our own country, meanwhile Chelsea are one away from us

Vini is running rampant. Can't see them not winning the cup with him in this form.

Chelsea is a pretty good match for Real Madrid with their lack of pace and number 9, might not be as easy against Haaland or Leao.

Isn't that just because they don't want City or Chelsea to win it and Madrid are on that side of the draw? I reckon the vast majority of people want Napoli to be champions.

When it's all said and done Vini will go down as a CL great. At 22 he's already had a fair number of standout high profile CL games.

Benzema man
Such a shame we couldn't get him that time ago from Lyon and ended up with Owen

Madrid play a "simple" yet beautiful brand of football. I really like Rodrygo, he is a classic wide player who is also good at cutting inside and link up

I actually use to see you as the lesser evil in the Fergie days for that reason.

What's one more to the already clear pile?

Madrid swarming Chelsea to get the ball back, fantastic to watch

you know… you lot do not want a City win, I do not want a Inter win… yet at the end of the day who cares, it is just a circus.

aaaaaannnnnndddddd

Milan

scores!

Incredible scenes

Real Madrid are not unlikeable as they uses to be with Ronaldo, Ramos, Pepe, etc., but people forget how many games in CL(and titles too) they have won because of referees favouring them. They are CL standout team, and fair feck fir that, but one of the reasons they've created the gap is because they haven't had one season in CL where they were fecked uo by refs, unlike pretty much any other team in the world, except maybs Barcelona.

Napoli might be a better side, but its not shocking that Milan is giving them a tough time.

The ease with which Madrid spray the ball around... it's been a long time since I've seen that from United.
