Champions League qualification is worth £85m

How? It’s the same number of days in between games. I never understood this logic

No it isn't. Europa League is always Thursday-Sunday which is 2-days rest. Champions League is often Tuesday-Saturday which is 3-days rest. Or Wednesday-Sunday also 3 days rest.

Of course, if you play Wednesday-Saturday then it's the same as Thursday-Sunday but you won't play that schedule every time unlike the Europa League which never changes.

The flip side can be less rest for European games but again there is more flexibility because games are played on both Tuesday & Wednesday.

But you got 3 days rest between Sun -Thur.

If we manage to qualify for the final, I would be happy to face FK Bodø/Glimt rather than Spurs.

I am not confident of winning against them even if they are bottlers.

Zirks and Martinez are definitely out for the season.

But could Amad and Deligt come back for the bilbao games?

DeLigt seems more likely than Amad. If we make the final, we could see Amad by then.

Amad is apparently ready for early May.
Maybe not for the game on 1st May, but I reckon he will play on 8th.

I'm not sure there is a difference as you say (Tues/Wed - Sat/Sun) vs (Thu - Sat/Sun) and also there might be an argument for Sunday being better for tv money. Main thing is CL is just vastly more lucrative.

There used to be a travel issue with EL but I think that's now been booted down to the Europa Conference as there are a few teams in Asia (so you're flying for like 6 hours to Azarbaijan for example). We played that Rostov team who are even further East than Ukraine when we won it for example.

We’ve won 1 game in the last 6. We haven’t won back to back league games under Amorim. Including the final, we could have 7 games remaining this season. The chances of us getting past Athletico and actually winning the final are slim, really slim.
We haven’t shown anything to suggest we can win this, without the statistics highlighting this.

Quit being so dramatic. We are unbeaten in the Europa Cup, it's completely different to the Premier League and that's reflected in the results.

Bilbao will be the best team we’ve faced all competition. At home they are fantastic. They are only a few points behind Atletico and if we faced them (Madrid) we’d almost certainly lose.
It’ll be tough but I think if we ride our luck away then we can do it. I am more worried about Spurs because they are a premier league team and we’ve proven we can’t beat any of them!!

Beating Bilbao will be no easy task as they sit 4th in La Liga and have been playing well recently

their leading goal scorer with 15 goals is actually a CM and you know how much we like giving up goals to other teams CM's on cut back crosses

Its going to be a tough game. Nico Williams is apparently on the bench for their league game v Las Palmas today, so that probably means he will be ready for next week.

Onana and Hojlund are in an interesting position, help the team win the EL and you help the club finance your replacement.

Apparently lost their top scorer to a groin problem today (Nico Williams was having a similar issue but he was back today as you say). Hopefully they’re on the edge of being burnt out after a tough season.

We’ve hardly swept teams away in the EL. Lucky to beat a really poor Rangers team at OT indicates how fortunate we’ve been.
We will lost this SF comfortably.
Swept Sociedad quite comfortably. And we weren't lucky vs Rangers, the underlying stats and game momentum was completely in our favour anyway.

You're just being overly dramatic, it's tiresome. We're facing a side that lost to Lyon themselves, I think we can do em.

What's worrying me is, even we somehow could get through Sociedad, we conceded an awful amount of goals. The team still play poorly, I hope we won't run out of luck and will win the EL. Lack of CL will set back the development by 2-3 years.

Bilbao played Lyon?
