Champions League | Matchday 6

Such an Ole result if they win from here. Looks like he’s finished and does just enough to survive.

He needs another false dawn moment badly, or it could be curtains for him sooner than you'd like

The best thing for the top teams in the EPL is Man Utd having a few decent results. The longer Ole stays in a job the less of a threat they are.

Sure I looked at Bayern scoreline 10 minutes ago and it was 0-0.

Fancy them to win CL again, good duel if they run into English team in knock outs.

Pretty sure that Palomino guy has committed at least four yellow card offences.

fecking hell Bayern are ruthless.

If Benfica play like that at Barcelona they’ll beat them again.

Ole is a cat with 7 lives. Amazing how he gets results when nobody would bet a dime on him.
Poor Bergamo but I'll take the result as it means at least more months of Ole at the wheel.

Savage was having an orgasm on that Ronaldo header

Those last 20 minutes were a nice payoff after the frustrations with the two disallowed goals. ^^
I'm also very happy for Sané who worked a lot over the last few matches but most of the time couldn't make his efforts count.

Europe should thank us and Atalanta since tonight has been one shit set of games outside of their game

Another Ole masterpiece. He’s got another month out of this. Good for him.

Sané has been outstanding this season, and was running the show tonight. Amazing how Nagelsmann made him come good just like that, after that whole year of dangerously bad vibes. Interesting position for him too, in the last couple of games.

Sane has a lot of actions, but his success rate as in, like, having the final pass actually meet a teammate, still lacks a lot. The freekick goal bas a beauty, but I thought Coman had more complete actions, some of them very good ones

If he can turn this around and derail your season a bit then it's a month fully deserved
Well if we can somehow manage 3 points he still will be around so today was ok all around.

Who are the oppo fans especially Liverpool fans fooling here? If they are seriously happy with United winning they need help.

A Liverpool managed by Gerrard could lose 10 games in a row and I would still not like them to score a goal, let alone win a game just because it might keep him longer in the job.

In my ~25 years of watching football I can't remember such a turnaround from a really bad form to such an outstanding form like Sané had between the first weeks of the season and the last few weeks.

He seems like a completely different player. And it all started with a complete change of mentality and attitude. Coming from a Özil-esque handwaving and just standing still after losing a ball to chasing every lost ball in full speed and winning more balls than all other attacking players combined.

There are still many situations where his finishing or final pass could be more precise but he's been really, really impressive in the past few weeks.

There is a reason why our fans are chanting "Leroy, Leroy..." every game nowadays. That reason is called Nagelsmann. I know coming from those tremendously succesfull Flick days of our team it sounds strange but Nagelsmann already improved the team by a lot. Those boys are savages now.

I hate playing Benfica. On the one hand they are constantly kicking and fouling cnutishly while on the other hand their players dive at the slightest contact. Infuriating

Interested to see how United approach our game on Sunday. Losing Fred would be a blow for them as he seems to be a consistent performer in midfield. Had a good game tonight. I think we'll have more energy than Atalanta did from about 35 minutes in onwards. They looked dead on their feet by half time.

I think they are not nearly as bad as Atletico or Sevilla.

We will sit deep and play our wingmen high up to trouble your marauding FBs on the break. Rashford scored 1 goal but his runs almost broke the Atlanta back 4 on his own. You play as high as Atalanta, no need to change that aspect of our play from tonight

Does Bayern really have any glaring weaknesses right now? I see them as early favorites - and anybody who knocks them out will probably win the whole thing.

I found this quite odd too... they're definitely trolling.

I mean yeah, you could at least be like "it sucks but at least it keeps Ole in the job" but actually hoping us to win is weird. I certainly never wanted Liverpool to win a single game when Dalglish was at the helm.
