Champions League Last 16 games - Feb/Mar 2015

The penalty conceded by Zabaleta is a perfect example of how stupid some of Man City players are and in general PL defending is. Players love to throw themselves on the ground and tackle for impossible balls just to make themselves look like warriors. He had no business attempting a tackle there.

Clichy getting sent off and the peno conceded by Zabaleta in literally the last few seconds of the game is the sheer idiocy that they are prone to.

Nasri went down the tunnel after he got subbed.
He's such a dick.

Nasri's a weird geezer. Pre match he is always full of talk about how he and the rest of the team are going to do this and do that, sometimes talking down on opponents. Yet he is regularly their biggest let down. I think it's the Arsenal in him.

Suarez: "1:2 is a good result for them"

Well it looks like Manchester City and their Champions League naivety will live on. They'll get it right eventually, unfortunately.

So trophyless season for 'em, will the manager survive?

He's an absolute dickhead.

It's amazing that he still gets picked in big games, completely invisible every time the going gets tough.

That's not at all true. He is very consistent for City in his role in the side.

Aguero and Silva are far too good not to be going to Champions League semi finals and finals. Sensational players

Dortmund v Juventus will be entertaining, Dortmund definitely with a chance.

Again, no. Bar Arsenal matches, Nasri's main criticism is not doing enough against the small sides, and particularly when Silva is injured/rested. In the big matches he is a very important player for us.

I'll take your word for it. He scored a big goal against Roma I guess, but that and the games against united aside (as we were awful last season), I feel like he always goes missing.

Disgusting performance. Absolutely shit.. Bunch of morons playing as if they have the right to win any match. No way they will progress. Totally gutted with such players. Busquets should be put infront of a firing squad or handed over to ISIS.
You know you did win?

Big games? Crucial situations when you're up against it?

He's a pansy.

He's not in the team to score goals anyway, but yeah, it's crap. When he is absent for City he is a big miss. His link-up play with Silva is excellent and he is so good at keeping possession. Nasri suffers because he doesn't score enough goals - it's funny, if he didn't play as consistent for City throughout 90 minutes but scored a couple more screamers he'd be higher rated than he is now.

What is his role? To fill the numbers?

No, to be a key player in a side that wants to win the title. He's done it twice and not had anyone bought to take his role in the team. That tells you what you need to know.

Aguerogoat is such a fantastic striker, give the guy 1 chance and he will score it. Hope Real Madrid make him their new Galactico target for the summer, heck even I'd pay £70-£100million or whatever for him.

Whether he deserves to be sent to ISIS is up for debate, but I do wonder how Busquets has managed to retain his position in the first team so consistently. I think Mascherano would be a much better option there. Let Pique and Mathieu be the defenders; Mascherano is one of the best DMs in the world, if not the best.

Messi has ruined my night, I wanted a full meltdown from City fans, instead they think they've won a moral victory. Next leg is in a month, so going to be a while before Barca can put them in their place.

I actually think he'd have been perfect for Barça: he'd provide them that directness and verticality that Suarez was bought for, but would do everything better than the Uruguayan.

But yeah, could be Madrid bound this summer.

Nothing in this makes sense, Busquets is the best DM in the world and he keeps the game ticking so good. People underestimate his contribution to the possession game and it's enormous, almost as important as Xavi used to be but without the killer through balls, plus he's a brilliant defender so his positioning is really important to Barca's ability to stop opponent's counter attacks.
Mascherano is brilliant, he really is, but he's a completely different kind of DM and Barca need Busquets for they're style of play. Mathieu is shit anyways, so why no enjoy both?

He was, yeah, but he's definitely not nowadays.
