Denayer is pretty shit here. He couldn't read the play at all. The whole time he only reacted to the situation posed by City play. His original mark, peeled away from him. He didn't realize Sterling walking past him would enter his defensive zone. Next trying to catch up to Sterling, just to be thrown off balance for an easy cut back. If Denayer had been able to see that Sterling option is limited especially if Sterling chose to lob crossed at the by line; he could have delayed Sterling cut back to KDB, by standing his ground. It might make huge difference there with Lyon had more time to regroup, and made it more difficult angle for KDB.
